Great list man! There are a lot of favorites I wouldn't expect to be on here including mixie! Thank you so much!❤

Yeah I was worried some of the choices were too obvious because a few always appear on other lists I've seen - but luckily Lobo and the Toyman ones seem to be less frequently mentioned- and I think the common top 10 picks are common picks for a reason (that reason being they're genuinely good). Thanks for watching and taking time to leave a comment! what'd be your top 10 out of interest?

Two episodes I would think should have been mention are: Where there's smoke - It introduces the character Volcana, has a very cool mystery that once again shows DCAU Clark's investigator abilites and the final scene is another great exemple of Superman compassion for his villains. I specially like Volcana backstory acts as contrast to Superman: While she was metahuman kid whose parents gave her to the goverment (who in turn try to make her into a weapon) Clark, despite being an alien, had lucky to be raised by good parents like the Kents. Solar Power - Superman deals with the villain Luminus, who uses some sattelites to turn Earth sun ray into a red sun, weakning the man of steel, making the conflict much more suspenseful and shows Clark's bravery and how what makes him a hero isn't his powers, but his courage.

I do like Where there's smoke quite a lot

Its worth is lessened because future appearances ensure Volcana went permanently rogue, unfortunately. In an aside, I always headcanoned Luminus' tech and even Lloyd Ventrix's from B: TAS as the basis for the Batman Beyond Batsuit's stealth capabilities.

the episodes that introduce live wire and volcana are my absolute favorites.

I think that too, I know he turns up in a JL episode but one of the ones I'm yet to see

Still, three episodes, and I'm not counting his weird and crass webseries, over the course of the DCAU is enough attention for the wild guy.

Serum Lake lured me here. Well, I'll just talk some flaws and/or chatty asides involving these bests: 10 - It also foreshadows the increasing stakes of the DCAU due to having heroes and villains not involved in the titular character's home turf getting involved, which comes to a head with "World's Finest", "The Hand of Fate", "A Fish Story", and finally Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. Man, wish Gravity Falls, Amphibia, and The Owl House did crossover eps like these on their later runs... 9 - Flaw: It got a conclusion in Static Shock Season 3's "Toys in the Hood", which admittedly feels a bit weak to some and possibly ruins Darcy's nuance. (Am still surprised how Toyman only appeared twice in S: TAS.) 8 - Hope that's the final end of Brainiac. Also, love how Star Wars still exists in the DCAU, judging by a mention of Darth Vader in one moment of the ep, and appreciate how the Kents toted shotguns against the foe. 7 - Flaw: This universe should have been revisited, especially with JL+JLU and even the Crisis on Two Earths movie in mind. 6 - Beats whatever happened in No Man's Land, this. Honorable Mentions: 1 - Flaw: Steel should have arrived even as late backup. Anywho, would advise fans to watch the version that keeps the Jewish funeral rites that features Marvel hero cameos. 2 - Flaw: I increasingly understand why this should have been Bizarro's only appearance, even when the likes of "Little Big Head Man" are still really good. (The suit decaying can be chalked up to excess radiation dimming and damaging it.) 3 - I still think he's John Corben. Meanwhile, I still shudder and cringe when he forced a kiss with poor Lois Lane... HOW'D THAT STAY UNCENSORED?!? 5 - Flaw: We start losing sympathy for the lil' guy over time in the DCAU after this, though he does become more dangerous in return. 4 - Flaw: Why was this broadcast AFTER "Stolen Memories"? Its first part actually showcased the first (re)flight of Superman's spacecraft, which could have felt off with the other episode's FTL jump at the beginning... such as it is, Season One of S: TAS is better off viewed in production order, though Seasons Two to "Four" can be watched neatly in airdate order. (That aside, Superman vs. Lobo in the first part is a goshdarn riot, especially with poor LexCorp in mind. KILLMAIMFRAGDESTROY!!!!!!!) 3 - And so it begins, the very foundations of a fine Crossover Nexus that, woefully so far as of this writing, has never been matched in television Western animation history. 2 - We really need more grim and gritty stuff in otherwise bright shows like this. When we getting firing squads against insubordinate Multiversal operatives in a Disney cartoon, oh world??? 1 - Flaw: If only we got a third and maybe even fourth Mr. Mxyzptlk episode, even in JL+JLU... oh, well, the tie-in comics shall compensate. (Dude, if I were a shapeshifting godlike planeswalker, why would I not build my own stuff with little or no help from reality warping?)

@@michaelandreipalon359 10. I too love Gravity falls 9. I agree- I wish there was no more Toyman after this- I guess his role in Justice League's Hereafter could be given to any vaguely smart villain 8. Star Wars must exist in the DCAU but it must look quite different to our world because...I really don't think Braniac looks that similar to Darth Vader as we know him to look in our world 7. I agree 6. I abolsutely agree- it shows remarkable restraint that they didn't make it a 3 parter (I'd find Robin spotting the impostor because Bruce was smiling far more funny/valid if we hadn't seen Bruce smiling multiple times in the DCAU) 5. That's true- but Andy Knode's got a fairly interesting take on him in this episode that I don't want to steal but do want to reference 4. I actually love most of Lobo's appearances, I wish Hereafter had Superman being a bit more affectionate with him at the end (he could still tell him to leave because he's not JL material but in a more playful way because...in some strange way I do feel like they essentially became friends of sorts in this 2-parter) 3. You're absolutely right- JLU's time travelling episode comes very close for me, mind 2. Yes, I pick this episode to show people who aren't entirely convinced by Superman or animation, and they all see some merit in it 1. You're right, but it's hard to know what I'd do in Mxy's case because his powers are so far beyond imaginging.

I can't stand Lobo so I hated those episodes and my favorite is part two of "Hereafter", a JLA episode which is all about Superman.
@PlayCONtent
@PlayCONtent 8 месяцев назад
Oh yeah I haven't seen the original JLA episodes for a while- except for Legends (been watching JLU a lot though) I do plan to watch for a video like this. That's fair, I know a few people who don't like Lobo much actually and then a few who think he's one of DC's best

World's Finest isn't your number one favorite Superman episode?! I haven't heard such blasphemy since Andy Knode ranked Legacy at number one of Superman episodes.

@PlayCONtent

I think- and this may be flawed reasoning- that firstly it being a 3 parter means it can't be watched in 20 minutes like a lot of the others AND the fact that some of the strengths come from the involvement of Batman characters whereas other great episodes rely solely on the greatness brought by Superman and his world made me think 3rd was fairest. Oh yeah, I've actually seen Legacy listed as a lot of people's number 1, I saw another video where it was 2 or something- I sort of understand why but it's probably not even in my top 15
@therandombats2579
@therandombats2579 8 месяцев назад
@@PlayCONtent I say (in my opinion) World's Finest is the best episode, not because it features Batman, but because this arguably sets their friendship for the DCAU, as seen in Justice League, Batman Beyond (not sure about that one as Superman was brainwashed by Starro), and the New Batman Adventures to a lesser extent.
