Besides, it is the only way to do BA's origin justice. Since BA didn't just start as a bad guy. He was given the powers of SHAZAM by the Wizard. Do you think the Wizard would give powers to a villain? BA was initially a good guy. That's why he got his powers. Him becoming a power hungry tyrant was very much a product of circumstances. Much like Magneto from X men. Would you say the same thing about Magneto? That an origin story with him as the protagonist would be a bad idea? I don't think so. Infact, watch X men first class, that shows exactly what I'm talking about.

@@RaizarYT Canonically, he is always holding back when he is fighting on Earth, especially in cities where people are still there.

That's because he gets slapped around a little too much in this animated short. The staff at DC Animation do this all the time. I must have seen this in a bazillion animated movies and t.v. series with Superman. For 3/4ths of the fight, Superman gets his ass handed to him, only to emerge victorious in the final quarter or act. The DC Animation staff does this so much that you can set your clock by them. I feel that this mindset of having Superman excessively getting beat up was set in motion by Bruce Timm and company as far back as when Superman: The Animated Series was on, but they really kicked it into overdrive when they started Justice League and that paradigm has been followed ever since. They don't treat any other hero that way except for Superman, especially not the golden boy of Gotham City. I'm not saying Superman shouldn't be challenged or he shouldn't put in the work to earn a victory, but I wish the animators and storytellers would give him more credit for his combat skills.

It’s like they give any character that fights him (Batman in particular) insane plot armor and let them kick him around for the majority of the fight. Then he finally utilizes his full ability and wins in the end. They also like to portray him as a dumb brute now thanks to the dark knight rises even though his abilities are mental as much as physical. He’s DC’s favorite whipping boy to try to make other characters look strong which is ridiculous

@F & M Part of this problem is also attributed to Frank Miller. Ever since he depicted that legendary fight between Batman and Superman in "The Dark Knight Returns," almost everyone takes it as Gospel that somehow, Batman will always be victorious if he engages in battle with Superman.

Dwyane has evolved as an actor over the years and is much more dedicated now than he used to be . Even though he does mostly popcorn flicks, he gives his 100 percent for every role he does. I am sure he will do an egyptian accent if the director wants him to do it.

Superman doesn’t always overpower his enemies. There are beings that are equal and stronger than him.

Black Adam is one of the worst match ups for Superman to deal with. Like the video said, Black Adam is physically matched with Superman, whilst also having the powers of magic which Superman is vulnerable to. Furthermore, Black Adam is a more skilled fighter than Superman, and also insanely durable, to the point he took on an enture army of superheroes pn his own. Not to mention he's willing to go for the kill a lot more.
