70% cocoa, dark chocolate, aldi - the organic one. after a couple of years researching supermarket buys, this was the best tasting...not expensive. the organic is irrelevant its the 70% cocoa in a dark that is a sweet spot for taste.
I know in Europe - notably France and the UK the food manufacturers are gauging the supermarkets, to the point that Carrefour in France would put up signs saying how much the food manufacturers are charging them. The Supermarkets in the UK were making record profits in COVID (largely because they were the only thing that could open), but post-COVID their profit margins have been squeezed due to profiteering by food manufacturers, inflation especially on energy and grain due to the war in Ukraine, and a price war (although they're using it to push their loyalty schemes - like Clubcard Prices).
Loving the content Tim! Keep it coming. Lucky I had chocolate in the house when I watched your video otherwise I would have had to head out to Coles when the craving’s started.
"Supermarkets are purposefully undercutting the other brands to increase their market share." No shit Sherlock. They're a business, aiming to make money...Kind of a no brainer.
Criminally misinformed. Flimsy explanation that is grotesquely simple and missing critical detail. All I could expect from a NPC enthusiast, unfortunately.
