Just to let people know, when your cat is running around like that, it’s because they have too much energy and need to be played with. Jackson “my boy” • Galaxy recommends playing until your cat is panting, then let them rest, and repeat. Do it about 3 times in total. My cat sleeps at night with me and it’s great. I personally recommend using a toy called Da Bird from Go Cat. The feather thing on it is designed so it spins and it really gets the cat going. • And if your cat is scratching stuff, you either need more scratchers, different material for your scratchers, or different positioning of your scratchers. I’d at least say one for each room. Try cardboard or that rope stuff. And see if your cats like to scratch on a flat(ter) surface or if they’re more of an upright type scratcher. • Create a “cat highway” with multiple “pit stops.” • Watch some episodes of My Cat From Hell. Most of the issues the people on their have are literally so simple to fix. • Cat spraying, especially around doors and windows? There’s probably a cat outside that is causing a “threat” to your cat’s territory. • Cat isn’t using the litter box? They might not like the placement, the litter, or they might not be feeling well (take em to the vet). Etc. • Don’t spray your cat with water. It’s just mean and they don’t learn not to do what they’re doing, they just learn not to do it around you. Gently blow in their face until they get annoyed and stop. • And don’t feed them friskys or fancy feast or any of that shit. (Anything made by purina or blue buffalo. I personally recommend Merricks, Tiki Cat, BFF’s, Weruva, ND, and Wellness). • Don’t feed them dry food only. That’s actually really bad to do and increases the chance of crystals in the urine. • And don’t leave food out all day for them either. I personally do a serving of wet in the morning, just under 1/3 of a cup of dry in the afternoon, and another serving of wet at night. I know not everyone can do that, so you can either get one of those automated dry food dispensers, or just feed em wet in the morning and dry at night. You’ll have to increase the serving sizes a bit doing that, but it’s still better than leaving food out for them. That’s how they get _real fat._ • Splurge a lil bit and get them a water fountain for like $25 on amazon. • Scoop the litter box daily. Replace the litter fully at least every two weeks and add more litter as it’s used. One litter box for one cat, and three for two cats, and an additional box for every cat after that. • Make sure to brush em at least weekly and keep their claws trimmed. • And remember, if you can’t afford to feed your animal good food, and in give them general good care, you shouldn’t have an animal. Edits while listening to more of the video: • Hearing what the tucker bro’s just said, cats will get feisty when they are overstimulated. Petting from head to tail will overstimulate them the most/the easiest. Head scritches will do it a lot less. When they get overstimulated, just leave them be and love them from a distance. • When cats are doing that “mrooooow murr owwww” thing, it’s because they’ve “caught” something (a toy most likely) and they want you to see because they’re proud and they want you to be proud of them too. In general, it’s because they want to show you something. In summary, it’s not hard to have a cat. You just need to take a second to do your research and it’ll be all easy from there. Best of luck to y’all. Also remember, it’s not your fault necessarily. You’ve most likely been taught wrong and didn’t know any better. What matters is that you take the steps to do better after you’ve learned. Don’t feel bad for what you did prior, just apply the new things you’ve learned Oh and *do not let your cat outside and get them spayed/neutered.* That’s like the most basic of shit to do

Here after learning about Banana. I hope Banana is happy and healthy wherever he is (or if he isn't, that he didn't suffer). I remember hearing about how Matt was letting him out at the end of last year, and I was worried this might happen given the dangers of the area (cars, other animals, bad people), or the fact that free ranging cats sometimes have multiple human families and pick a new home. I hate that this made Matt so sad because he truly loved his cat- child.

Hearing the talk of the children running into sliding glass doors amuses me, because when my cat is in zoomy-mode, he'll forget the kitchen door is glass and charge full speed into it, and with no hesitation at all, he'll continue back to his zooming around the house like nothing ever happened. EDIT: Also, Jesse and James only survive the falls because they're actually Dittos.
