Supermen: World War, Fan Film (2019) 

That movie may not have had the biggest budget, but it had more heart than any blockbuster Hollywood has offered. Makes me miss my grandfather. Served in the Pacific from 42-46. Died in 2017, just shy of his 95 birthday. They really were a generation of superheroes. Thank you very much for this.

Just finished watching it. I really enjoyed it. The fight scenes were great. Actors exchanging blows and not CGI fights. Great story and a great tribute to the heroes of WW 2, like your Grandad. I hope to see a sequel.

At least it's accurate in that there really is a Metropolis in Illinois, but it's not accurate that it's a big city. It's just a tourist attraction, but it's not that special. The only real attraction they have is a statue of Superman, but that's it. It's a boring little small town really. I've been there more than once passing through when taking a trip between where I live now and where I grew up. The funny thing is, the comics and stories never said in which state their Metropolis is located, but I can assure you it's not in rural Illinois. The real one was most likely named after the fictional comic city, but they bear no resemblance to one another.

for a fan film this one is quite awesome, what's next? a live action Justice League new frontier? a film about Spy Smasher?

Just finished the movie. Lovely stuff, keeping true to the Superman lore and paying respect to the real life history military at the same time. I like how Don and the Field Marshal took the roles of Jimmy and Perry. Doing a low budget superhero movie is one thing but a period piece cant have been easy! Great work getting all the right costumes and even some vintage cars. For years and years I've wanted a Superman film set around this period, taking cues froim the serial and George Reeves incarnation, even though Captain America and Wonder Woman have been there. I like how you homaged the early comics as well and a twist I won't mention! Great stuff from beginning to end, would love a sequel (or pre-war prequel?)

This is a great film of heroes superheroes who fought and liberated camps. We can only imagine if we a Superman during a World War. My condolences to the Donny Callahan family. There is no greater tribute than this. Upon seeing and reading the dedication my heart broke and cried. Thank you Mr. Callahan for your service.

Donald Callahan I love looking at these movies by people who starting out in the business. Some make good movies and some not so good. This movie is very good and the thing that I like about it is you didn't use the Superman of today you went back to the past where he actually began...the 1940's... This is where he began his popularity. And you even brought back images from the comic books from that era. The last photograph remind me of that Action comic that i have seen dozen of times throughout my life. I hope that you will continue to make more of these amazing movies from that era and one day i hope to see it played on the big screen. Good luck and keep up your amazing work here...NEVER GIVE UP ON WHAT YOU TRULY BELIEVE IN!

This was excellently done. The costume was reminiscent of the comic books from that era. All of the actors in this film seemed to fit their roles and did a great job. However, one thing I did not like was the takeoffs and landings. Should have had him jump over the camera, instead of the CGI effect, and land from a ladder (1950s Superman). Thanks for a job well done. Would be nice to see another episode. RIP Staff Sargeant Donald Gallahan. Thank you for your service.

Fun movie. Thanks for making this! Love all the old cars and props. Loves the cinematography and lighting. Especially loved the fight scenes with the action packed filming style. The acting could use improvement. Would love to have seen Superman knock people into the distance. The Superman actor looks better than all the movie actors (but with stiff acting). Can you do an Xmen movie that's true to the animated series. I'll love you forever.

For me, a WWII Fleischer style Live action superman movie is a dream come true. This is absolutely incredible

Enjoyed this....would like to see more superman films from the golden era...would u guys do a follow up based on superman taking on the klan???

I admit I was a tad skeptical about this at first. I try not to be dismissive about fan creations, but we all tend to let some prejudices get to us now and then. But a review about the film popped up in my Pinterest feed and I thought “Okay, let’s give it a look.” I’m so glad I did, I REALLY enjoyed this film. I have rewatched it about a dozen times already. I think one of the biggest challenges these types of films face is holding the audience’s attention. That is not a problem here. The film is fun and you get drawn into it pretty quickly. I thought the ‘40s WWII Fleischer look was a great angle to take. Superman’s costume was so on point and I loved the wardrobe choices for Lois (that white hat was perfect). The car too, made it a bit more authentic-looking. It may sound geeky but when the scene came up with the group in the car, I literally said out loud “Damn, good choice of wheels.” It shows that the writers did their history homework and as a viewer, I appreciate that. Love, love LOVE Kevin and Kerri in the roles of Clark/Superman and Lois. I have watched virtually every mainstream Superman TV and film version possible and - I will stand by this comment - Kerri is one of the few actresses that I felt actually got the role right. She had the right amount of spunk and sass and never came off whiny or needy as some others in the role have. She was strong but not overbearing. Great job lady! Kevin too did a great job. I really liked his take on Clark in the ‘40s. I thought he was great in the fight scene with the super soldiers. It was well choreographed and he wore just the right mix of anguish and determination. And, really, let’s be honest, he looked good in the Superman suit. Not just anyone can pull off that look, and yet he does it very well. I really enjoyed his interpretation of the Man of Steel. Bravo, sir. And, oh my God, the dance scene and C/L flashbacks. Love them! There was some great chemistry in those scenes. I wanted to see more of those interactions, but alas, we can’t have everything we want now can we? My only complaint is that the film is only an hour and that goes by fast. At the end, I was definitely left wanting to see more. I’m sure a sequel is wishful thinking but a fan can always hope. Thank you to the cast and crew who clearly worked so hard creating this movie. Your vision and dedication is appreciated. You created something wonderful.

Amazing. Just a few criticisms. Work on the sound side a bit more especially how to use a mic without it getting a muffled or stressed sound. Eg. In the car before the "firing squad" scene when Don is speaking. Last note, I hope there's more in the pipeline

Good intentions for weird results! PRO: Character of Lois Lane, the fact that Superman killed his ennemies atthe beginning (like Batman) - the idea of the original Superman (those from Earth 2)- Nazi are very caricatural , they were depicted like this in comics in 40's (Captain America,...) CONS: Bad actors ! (except Lois Lane, really talented) , Superman is more closer from Arnold than Christopher ! :) - fights... , Metroplis is not in Illinois but in New Jersey (in modern version but i admit i have a doubt with the Metropolis in 1938) some scenes are really too long (at the beginning) -Metallo didn't exist in 1938, but Luthor did - Why German soldiers have american shotgun and helmet?? Superman didn't fly but jumped very high Not good, not bad - B+ for the love and dedication put in this film
