i have an rm 85 and a cr 85 and the rm does sound more loud and obnoxious

only 85's you see where I race in UK is KTM or kawasaki. Very little of yamaha and no suzuki/honda but in adult classes there is a good mix between bike brands

TTRs aren't set up for any kind of racing, they are pretty much just a family bike, like something to putter around in. Id say u should get like a 125 or 250 4 stroke, there isn't a performance difference in the 2 and 4 stroke when it comes to motocross, neither kind of bike is better for another, it's just all personal preference
