Hyper EVO SP beating up on people at the track. This is just a trackday not a race so the pace is quite a bit slower. Just having fun with the A group. Hope the captions can help explain what is going on in my head lap after lap.
dude i just buy a dorsoduro and im still leraning, the vhange from a zx10r to a dorsoduro its huge but with this video i learned a lot! very good one, i hope to see anothers like this (y)
Yo man awesome riding! Just a question you're going so fast, do you ever stick your leg out when cornering like people do on the dirt or do you move around like you would on a sports bike and just have the knee out, outside knee over tank etc. Thanks!
b00stinz I ride the Ducati Hypermotard knee down "sportbike" style. I have a CRF450 supermoto and I ride it knee down as well. I will try and get some more vids uploaded next month with a different camera angle
Question for u....When ur going thru the corner do u gradualy accelerate to keep the bike stable or do u keep sturdy on the throttle? U r planted accept for that last part with too much throttle....Im very impressed!!!!
I think that it is less the difference between supermoto and supersport, and more the difference between and aggressive and a passive rider. I used to run a 750, and I would be taking your lines, just because I was braking when I saw god. Pitch it in, late apex, and wring the throttle's neck as soon as you can.
Hey mate, Great video! you're clearly a fantastic rider! Just a point though... You called the hyper slow... maybe compared to a fully fledged litre bike, but in it's own right the hypermotard is nowhere close to being "slow" you even sort of compared it to 250 and 300's etc... that's a bit of a stretch don't you think? The Hyper is still getting close to that 100hp mark and has a weight advantage (obviously still not enough against a 1000cc in the straights but helps in the corners.) I wanna say it's not technically a supermoto either but that's up for debate and everyone has their own definition. Anyway besides that I really enjoyed watching some top notch riding :) cheers
I call it slow because compared to the majority of other bikes on the track it is much slower on the straights. 600's run away from it. The only sportbike it will run down is an SV650. You are correct that it is not really a supermoto. It looks like one, but anyone that has ridden a proper 450SM and a Hyper knows there is a big difference.
B-Baller #6 Its actually a super moto maxi as wht Italians call it...But in all reality ur right its not.. its a naked super moto style bike that wht it is!!!
That bike is not a “slow bike” by any means, slow bike would be a 300cc/400cc or even a twin 650 but I don’t even consider those slow bikes either. “Slower then a liter bike?” Sure lol good riding btw 🤙🏼🤙🏼
I think this day the bike had michelin power cups. I ran Bridgestone R10's last season with decent results. Going to try Pirelli's next year and see how they wear.
+shogrran Lol, it's the cancel indicator button. I do the same thing :) Sort of a reflext after taking a corner, on the street you usually used your indicator then.
steveman1982 I was wondering why he was pressing anything. I've been riding motorcycles for a few years but I seldom drive bigger bikes. I thought there was some kind of electronic traction control or something.
+shogrran , kidding about the nitrous. It is in fact the turn signal cancel button. I really don't have a reason to be pushing it as there are no indicators on the bike when it has the track bodywork on. I believe it is just out of habit carried over from street riding. Some of the guys I ride with do have traction and anti-wheelie systems on their bikes that they can adjust on the fly. They are packing a little more HP than the Hypermotard.
+Wes Bracken lol I saw that too. I'm always hitting my indicator cancel and I used to always thumb my choke lever on my ninja250 because it was once wobbly and it became a habbit :D
Yes I agree the Hyper is not a fast motorcycle. Maybe I can pick up a sponsor to supply some hi-comp pistons, cams, head work and race fuel. Motoson Enterprises maybe?
