I love this scene a lot, the close bond that the Winchesters and Jodi formed over the years really shows. Jodi loves and cares about those boys as if they’re were blood ties and they loved and cared about her as a 2nd mother. So many loved and cared about those 2 and Vice versa. That’s always been my favorite thing about shows and movies, seeing the close bonds and love between characters!
It was a mistake to bring Merry back. They made most of the fans hate her. It was bad played no matter she is so cool character. Supernatural went down years ago, every monster killed, every case solved, it should be one grand finale, not 15 seasons of sloppy excuses, dead people coming back and when they also were out, another reality with the same people. It's ridiculous.
No offence to the actress who plays Billie but Supernatural just had a way of making awesome male characters and terrible female ones. Other than a few exceptions, (Charlie, Jody, Rowena, Eileen and then Meg when she stopped trying to kill the boys and wanted to save her unicorn), the female characters were just so freakin annoying! It’s like the writers tried to make them ‘badass’ and ‘edgy’ but failed miserably.
She did great as Billie. The writers really fucked up a lot of casting/characterization/all that (I’m not in film so those terms may be incorrect). Female characters really took the back seat in this show compared to male ones and the same can be said for people of colour who were often sidelined (RIP KEVIN) or assigned villain roles (fbi cop, vampire hunter guy, billie etc). Yeah, it’s the midwest, but these guys drive to nearly every state. I wouldn’t even say Charlie was well done as a character, just because she seemed so stereotypically flawless, which is common for “hacker” characters”. It’s something that’s been on my mind ever since I’ve started watching the show
