I understand why Dean went through the portal alone, but was it really smart to send him to a world Michael controls considering he's Michael's vessel?
However, Michael is trying to come to Sam and Dean's world. Using him as a vessel would be the perfect way to do that. And with the spoilers out lately, it makes me think of that.

It actually makes sense that Sam would say "We saw him die." because a) he died at a time when death actually meant something in this show and b) with the exception of Castiel no other angel has ever come back from death. You could say Billie too but she's a reaper and the circumstances of her return were entirely unique. And seeing as they did see Gabe die, killed by Lucifer himself with his own (Gabe's) blade Sam actually has every reason to be disbelieving at the moment. Then again, this is a time when canon also doesn't mean jack shit so maybe they'll just wave away the whole blade thing. And yes, having Sam knocked out again is just ... *sigh* especially after they essentially called themselves out on in 13x15 ... oh but this time it was some potion or whatever and NOT someone bashing his head in so it's fine! (-_-) Also love you! Your reactions always make me feel better even about the parts of an episode that I didn't enjoy. ^_^
Was anyone kinda upset they didn't leave the bunker? or that they didn't wait till gabe was a bit more sane so they would have more protection? Might just be me
also anyone else notice the fact that when they walked into the diner is was like early morning then when they got their food and the guy left it was like late at night?
Sam saying that they "saw him die" is an inconsistency though, because the brothers didn't actually see it happen. We, the audience did, but the brothers had already booked it out of there with Kali. And they watched his "Last Will and Testament Porno" and THEY didn't see any sign of him after that happend. Oh, and Chuck even mentioned that both Raphael and Gabriel were dead, so they definitely had every reason to think he was. But they didn't in fact see it. (Though, the writers end up forgetting stuff like that sometimes.)

I think it could be AU Gabriel. May have escaped through the rift in the finale of last season. prince of hell found him and began using his Grace and went to hell to make that huge entrance. After all, he smote all those demons when he first arrived and the doors opened with bright lights and high pitch frequency etc. Michael may have found him hiding out as Loki and sewed his mouth shut like the real Loki was meant to have his sewn shut with leather or something? I hope it's the real Gabriel too, but I do have a problem with his death scene in season 5 if it's him. The blades look nothing alike and so Lucifer would have known he didn't kill him, and also Gabriel would have known that the blade wouldn't kill Lucifer either. So I'd love to hear their explanation on it. As for KFC (lol to name) sewing his mouth, yeah it's definitely a possibility, and probably will be the one revealed to have done it.
That is a good theory. And explain why Gabe is so traumatized. Hell, LIVING in that universe would have probably been pretty traumatic. Much less what's happened since. I wonder if Cas will be able to tell right off, if so?
AngelDove The blade thing confused me as well. Maybe each arch only knew what theirs looked like, as a protection thing, and it was personally warded (reaching here, but 🤷🏻♀️ it IS SPN). I'm also thinking maybe Kali may have had a hand in it. She DID have a sample of his blood. SO many questions and theories. Dabb and the writers are evil. They know how to make us anxious and hold us in suspense! Either way, we have to wait (hate that word SO much!) until Thursday to hopefully find out.
