Bugs are insanely fascinating. Had I finished my biology degree, I was seriously thinking of going into Entomology. We could learn a lot from ants and bees.
Filming this episode, they used real bees and there were stings. Then I turned out that the bees didn't show up on film, so they ended up using cgi bees anyway.
with the exception of the plastic spiders in the shower and the super sped up night with the bees I thoroughly liked this episode. The Native American elder was great.
I don't actually think it's as bad an episode as it gets panned as - it's heavy on the influence from Poltergeist the movie. But then I have nothing against bugs. But watch out for references to it in future episodes... Spn is very self aware.
A lot of people say this was the worst SPN ep ever. I disagree, late seasons when standards went to crap have plenty of limp to awful eps. Meanwhile, for you, that's a long way off.
