@@FlowerTrollSan What is sadist and masochist? A sadist is someone who enjoys inflicting pain on others, sometimes in a sexual sense. Sadists like seeing other people hurt. A sadist is the opposite of a masochist, who enjoys being in pain. A sadist is all about hurting others, usually to get off sexually. However, this word is about more than sex. @@Guxinette Unless you're talking Vietnam, Algeria, WWII, Franco-Prussian War, Mexican Occupation, etc., etc. The win/loss record of the French since Waterloo isnt exactly the greatest.
Of course not,Alastair and Lilith were more Traditionalist "Fire and Brimstone,Blood Sacrifice" Demons,Crowley`s more of a Renaissance Man Demonic Reformer.
But everyone else would. Sure, waiting in line sucks, but having red hot pokers jammed up your ass is way worse IMO. At least in this hell, there’s no pain and torment and you got someone to talk to while you’re waiting.😅
It wasn’t his idea I gave it to him and it can ramp up to waiting for the toilet line or waiting for world of Warcraft expansion release dates that take months or a year then thanos snap back to ducking memory erase and born again and waiting in the same line back at it again You’re already here m8
although most depictions of Hell or some place of eternal punishment are of some fire filled inferno....I find this much more fitting. its more psychological. studies show psychological torment is far more unbearable than physical torment.
Daniel Carbone every painful thing you've ever experienced, multiplied. Every fear you've ever felt, coming true a thousand times over. That's how I've always imagined hell.
Kevin Zhang Meanwhile, waiting in line could cause the same level of psychological torment, within a month. When did you get in The Line? How many followed after? Where is The Line going? What is The Line? _When did you get in The Line? How many followed after? Where is The Line going? What is The Line? _ _*_How long have you been in The Line?_*
Cas never stood a chance. Crowley is the King of the Crossroads for a reason. He knows how to make a pitch, and how to tempt even an angel of the lord into making a deal.
It takes about 40 seconds for the line to move forward and there are roughly 6 billion souls waiting in line. So it takes about 8400 years to reach the front. This really is hell.
Ya, that's pretty much how this show works until at least the end of season 11. Where the new problem really has nothing to do with the last one. At least as far as we know.
Cotcan Well not really we see now that the Men of Letters attacked the brothers because of the Darkness being released and a lot of the dynamic in Season 12 was caused by the resurrection of Mary and Lucifer was freed because he was the "Natural solution" to fighting the Darkness. So yeah, this dynamic still stands to Season 14.
Let's all take a moment to appreciate how Misha ALMOST breaks character when he sees -for the first time- the portait of Crowley dressed like a nazi with a pitchfork where the tvaztika should be. Actually, let's all take a moment to appreciate Crowley.
Actually I believe Crowley had a particular connection to the Nazi's. It I remember the lore correctly Crowley made a deal with a certain would-be German political leader with a penchant for funny mustaches, that fairly standard Crossroads deal resulted in one of the most destructive decades in human history and propelled Crowley to being recognized as King of the Crossroads
some people hell is fire hell is ice hell is empty and blank worse IT'S A NEVER ENDING LINE like a day at Disneyland but don't worry it's only for eternity
There's worse than that; some souls are just masochists. But this method is virtually fail-safe. Any normal person would prefer it over fire, but would still hate it.
Just look at Cas´ exact expression at 2:42 than he looks at Crowleys picture of himself on the wall you can see at 2:34. I think they mentioned on any convention that that was the first time, Misha ever saw that picture and I find his stare hilarious.
Current torture research indicates that line waiting agony slows down the demonization process by 32% as opposed to hellfire and physical torment, according to demonic scholars despite efficiency, and reduced demonic labor
So since SPN is a horror TV show and the first season scared the crap out of me with all its scary spirits, it amuses to to no end that this is its version of hell, although I do agree its is sadistic, having people wait in line and then go right back to the end of the queue, uggh no :D
Meanwhile I, as an American, could endure Hell billing me ridiculous fees upon entry. Only for them to send even more once I pay the first off. And then Hell's collection agency sending me to Satan's court and charging even more for not paying the third bill because I was too busy paying the second one.
I love how for like a second "Cas" practically breaks character and you can see the almost horrified look grow on his face as he sees the picture of Crowley lol
Americans will never let them forget since 2003 and Chirac refused to follow Bush into the Iraq invasion. Ever since that point, American rhetoric and propaganda focused on the white flag theme
He is still a demon and the souls are business. It's like a currency to do shit. Just as Castiel said, a living battery. Also, Crowley doesn't actually absorb souls, they stash it somewhere as he always says.
dardo1201 it's like a drug dealer imo, never use your own product, show everyone you own the drugs and can give them to people for stuff in exchange but as soon as you start using your own supply it just goes downhill from there
+S0urc3C0de Pain can be endured to the point you won't even feel it anymore depending on how strong your will is. But boredom, EVERYBODY hates boredom, especially when it comes to waiting in line, but having to wait in line for literally an eternity would be maddening.
JayD965 I guess getting to the point of not feeling any pain anymore and and becoming so mad that you don't feel bored anymore is kind of the same process...
the worst part is that at the end of the line they find out its a line for tickets to a celine dion concert, featuring bieber and william shatner as guests
So there are 66 billion people in Hell 47 billion people in Heaven (according to the latest episode) And 30-40 million people turned to monsters who died and went to Purgatory
I love that in the apocalypse world, there's literally an apocalypse and angel killing bullets at everybody's disposal but still there were thousands of angels there but our world angels became almost extinct because Cas went on a killing spree.
He is just like Han Solo going "I know". I won't lie, when I first saw him I was drawn in by those ethereally blue eyes..... he has this mind-boggling combination of innocence and authority that he pulls off so well!
in supernatural lore..hell is the place where the souls is tortured until it is corrupted and then they become a demon..how the hell waiting in line can corrupt their soul?
have you never waited in line? its pure fucking agony! it leaves you hating every single person in front of you, wishing and repenting you were faster, you got there sooner, to be near the front, and if its a ladder or stairway, to be at the top. that kind of maddening hatred would fester and boil and soon enough youd be a demon.
Come on. Hell's suppose to be a place so frightening that a human loses its humanity completely and turns demon. No one's gonna turn into a demon from waiting in a line for eternity
Lol. You don't know about torture and mental anguish. Your mind would turn to mush. Imagine waiting in line with no purpose for a day, imagine a week, no food, no water just forced to stare at someone's back. Your mind would be a drooling mess. It's hilarious yet sadistic at the same time. Imagine your greatest joy in life being shuffling two steps then waiting hours to shuffle a few more steps This is mankind
NO NAME Yeah I get it. It's boring as fuck. But no one's gonna turn into a sadistic monstrous demon from something like this. Maybe a mental spirit, but not a demon.
There is a scene in the show Lucifer where something similar to this takes place. Except instead of a line, the people simply relive their greatest regrets over and over again....each time the regret grows worse and worse over eternity.
The guy who walks in at the beginning of the clip was actually recently the first guy in line, because after you’re first in line you just go back to the end of the line.
Cute idea, but this sums up the downfall of Supernatural. Hell and Heaven and everything in between werent shown, but heard about, when we saw Hell at first, Dean had chains through his body in a never-ending cyclone of lightning storms and blood and he was tortured to death then brought back for 4 months, which was 40 years in hell. Now that everythings more casualized, you can truly feel Kripkes spirit leaving the show. Kripke made sure to tell, and not show because your imagination was gonna conjur something worse than their budget could come up with, rendering your nightmares to be truly nightmares. This is ...cute...but also stupid lol
yep, back in season 1-3, demons were actually scary and powerful, sam and dean were more of a nuisance to them. now the demons are just pathetic, easy to kill, and aren’t even on the show anymore
I think that this punishment lacks the true core torture of waiting in line, waiting for something, no one here is waiting for anything, thus it isn't as punishing, still an empty and blank existence but if he wanted that he could of made it just an empty room or something.
True, that would be hellish. However, this really is the most effective torture out there. Imagine for a moment: You stand in line, knowing hell is a corridor down and all you got to do is just wait for endless suffering. So you wait and wait, and wait. Fear anticipates you while wondering what horrid punishment awaits you on the other side. Shuffled step after shuffled step. Closer and closer you come to the entry way. Finally you pass it, only to find another line. You think you can handle this as the line gives you time to steel yourself for the fire and burning. But line after line, you start hoping this is the line that would lead you to Hell, praying to just see the flaming brimstone that awaits you. Yet another line persists, still you keep hoping this is the end. After hoping and hoping for so long, your hope soon dies and turns to anger. You kill all in the line and yet end up with the same line of people you just slayed. Your anger slowly gives way to insanity as you finally figured out this will never end, you realize all your hopes and prayers were for not. You step passed the threshold and see the back of same person you've see for nearly the last century. You finally understand this never was the line to enter Hell. This was Hell. And you conclude, as your sobbing turns to laughter, you are trapped here. Ever to continue this cycle for all eternity.
If there's two things I would have liked to have seen before the finale it's an angel's true form and the REAL Hell. The Hell that Dean experienced. The pits that demons had to climb out of just for a CHANCE to go topside.
Sadly, I am pretty sure that would have been too much for their budget. If you didn't notice already, there's a reason most of the monsters, demons, and whatnot we have seen in the show are wearing "meat suits". Even the Wendigo we saw at the start of the series was just a really ugly dude.
