Heya👋🏻 Im (Filmbuff) told me about your channel, actually remember watching your TWD and GoT reactions now and then😅 I'm not caught up with Supernatural but I'll do my best to keep the TWD vids spoilerfree😃🤘🏼

I'm completely caught up with supernatural. I can check comments if you would like. I hate spoilers, I'll completely stop watching a show if I get a spoiler. So if you would like me to check comments I'd be more then happy to. Let me know

Partly because Ellen didn't need to die. If Jo hadn't disobeyed she wouldn't of been injured forcing them to go to ground instead of escaping. They wouldn't of had to face humping a injured Jo out. Why the 1st ep Jo was Ellen's daughter then they started writing her a airheaded sighing teenager.

@@JohnWinchester3567 Yeah she could've stayed away from hunting like Dean advised her to, but then we wouldn't have seen much of her or Ellen anymore. I actually like the way she was written in season 5 and in Born Under A Bad Sign compared to the whiny way she was in No Exit because she seemed a lot more mature. If I was Sam or Dean though, I would've made sure not to involve them with the quest for the Colt, especially when they went after Lucifer because they knew if anything happened to them, the angels would resurrect them but how the same was not true about Ellen or Jo. Though Sam & Dean probably needed Ellen & Jo's help because the angels who would resurrect them were the ones who wanted them as vessels since Cas was cut off from his power to heal & resurrect. And once they were in those angels'/archangels' clutches, it would be game over.

Tasmia Tahmid I think this was a great death scene. Obviously, I wish they hadn’t died, but from a character point of view it’s great. They went down together, heroically and saving people and meaningful characterisation. The only thing that lets it down is the fact that it was seemingly all for nothing as lucifer lived anyway. It’s the kind of death that should happen in later seasons, but the writers currently seem too lazy to write good death scenes, doing them all off screen which is an insult to the characters (and actors).

@@louisa1514 Yeah I agree. Plus the series was supposed to end in another 12 episodes after Abandon All Hope, which is why deaths like Ellen & Jo's and Gabriel's were so meaningful and powerful. Kripke wanted to end the arcs of his characters in a powerful way before he ended his series & it was very late in season 5 that the CW network decided they wanted a season 6.

It was very hard to see that photo burn! It felt like something to cherish but like you said, I do understand it's their way of honouring & saying goodbye...still hurts though.

That was the hardest part of the entire episode for me. I was gutted by Ellen and Jo's death, but the photo just destroyed me. To me, it felt like burning their memory, not honoring them. It just hurt.

@@magiv4205 I didn't like the burning of the photo but I understood they did it because it would only remind them that Ellen & Jo died for nothing other than them learning the Colt couldn't kill the devil. If their deaths had allowed them to kill Lucifer, I don't think they would've burned the photo. They would've mourned their loss sure, but Sam & Dean would most likely have saved the photo to honor what their deaths meant in saving the world.

No, Lucifer was definitely not making it up. It's part of the whole parallel between the 2 oldest archangel brothers and Sam & Dean. Everything we saw from what Michael told Dean in The Song Remains The Same and the dialogue between Michael & Lucifer at Stull Cemetery before Dean arrived in Swan Song is in sync with what Lucifer said. Also, if you compare Michael to Dean, there is a stark difference between them. Michael is obedient to his father in an extreme manner that Dean wasn't to John. Michael is obedient to what he believed his father wanted, though it's clear he never really knew his father when God told them to protect and respect humans more than they respected God Himself. Based on the way Michael manipulated humanity for 1000s of years before Sam & Dean were born and how their conception & birth was the highest of priorities and how the cupids working on Michael's orders were the ones who allowed the generation of psychic children like Sam, Jake, Ava, Andy, Max Miller, etc to be born exactly 10 years after the dates their parents made their deals, which was no coincidence, it showed how he merely used humans as pawns. And when you combine that with what he told Dean in The Song Remains The Same about him raising Lucifer in a way that most people wouldn't understand, it's no coincidence that Lucifer too had a disdain for humans, except he took it further than Michael and openly defied his father. He beat Lucifer down on God's orders so that God could cage him. Dean on the other hand got an order from John just before he died to save Sam and if he couldn't to kill him, but Dean unlike Michael defied his father even when he learned that Sam was drinking demon's blood and getting more powerful in his abilities. So with the way Dean was forgiving of Sam that Michael wasn't with Lucifer even though he did still love him, I can totally see Michael calling him a freak and beating him down. Dean beat on Sam in When The Levee Breaks, but it was because of Sam's lack of loyalty & trusting Ruby more than Dean himself, not about him becoming a freak. With Michael it was all about following orders to a T, and anyone who disobeyed God was considered a freak by Michael & the Heavenly Host. Michael & Lucifer are both like extreme versions of Sam & Dean, which is why the parallel works so well and why Michael & Dean and Sam & Lucifer can relate to one another (up to a point).

I just wish they kept him serious like he was back when Kripke was the showrunner & intended him to be. It sucks how they turned him into a clown in season 7+ but I still love Mark's portrayal of the character. I think Mark & Jared had the best portrayals.

Lucifer's story was written hundreds of years ago, technically, yeah? His story is in the Bible.

Season 5 had at most 5 fillers: Fallen Idols, The Curious Case of Dean Winchester, The Real Ghostbusters, Sam, Interrupted & Swap Meat. Season 5 was all about the Apocalypse, which entails the 4 archangels, the 4 Horsemen, the Whore of Babylon, the antichrist, angels, demons & Heaven (and for Supernatural's version of the Apocalypse also the Croatoan virus) and every episode but those above mentioned ones dealt with those elements. Even some of those tied in with elements of the Apocalypse like The Curious Case of Dean Winchester getting Dean to relate more with Bobby's disabled state that happened just as the Apocalypse began. In The Real Ghostbusters they had contact with God (before it was revealed who God was) and also learned where the Colt was. Sam, Interrupted dealt with the very damaging psychological effects of the Winchesters losing people they loved like Ellen & Jo as it was the very next episode and we saw some very much needed psychological perspectives of Sam & Dean and Martin being used as foreshadowing of how their lives may end. Swap Meat involved demons & Sam's body getting inhabited by the soul of a dumb kid who was in way over his head and the danger of it being delivered to Lucifer by a demon who possessed one of his friends. The only one that was purely fluff was Fallen Idols and even in that, Dean finally stopped blaming Sam & began treating him like a person again and started blaming himself as well for the Apocalypse since none of the other seals could've been broken had he not broken the 1st one.
