This is honestly my FAVORITE episode of this season! The comedic timing is just great, (personally, my favorite part was with the pigeon, but all of it was good stuff.) Jensen did SUCH a good job of playing a human with dog-like qualities! And as always, I love when Sam shifts into Ezekiel. I mean, even if they didn't use the special effects of having his eyes glow, you'd be able to tell because even his posture changes, and mode of speech when he talks. As for why Sam is being so open with Dean? My thoughts are that for one, there's no reason here for him to hide this from his brother. In the past, he's always had reasons for why he didn't tell Dean things. Last season it was because he was afraid of letting Dean down, and even more afraid that if Dean didn't think he could pull it off, he'd find a way of taking on the trials himself, and Sam already knew that Dean looked at doing them as a suicide run. So he didn't want Dean to know how badly the trials were affecting him. And this is my personal opinion, but I also think part of it was that Sam was adopting that mentality of "push through the pain". Which generally entails telling yourself "you're fine, you're fine, you're fine" and not admitting that it's as bad as it is. But right now, he has no reason to hide this from Dean. He doesn't think Dean has anything to do with it. There might be a few suspicions lurking in the back of his head, like with that "Zeke!" thing last episode, but in general he thinks he can trust his brother. He's his "Stone Number 1" after all. I also think part of it is that after what happened in that church, Sam's making a conscious effort to be more open. Keeping secrets from each other has NEVER lead them anywhere good. Heck, their father keeping secrets from them never led to anything good. Maybe he's trying to break that cycle? I do think it's starting to hit Dean just how bad this situation could end up. Watching his face when he was talking to Sam at the end there, about this other guy being "possessed by something he couldn't control... It was a matter of time before it took over." and you realize that he realizes Sam's in that situation right now. Only he doesn't even know it. I think he asks Dean because of the "Zeke" thing in previous episode, Dean called a weird name and this man talk about him as a "What Are You?" plus the Cas other thing when he got killed by April, Sam was a little confuse in how Dean made April "Bring back Cas". But in anycase Sam is asking in concern, not acusing Dean but especting him to have an answere of what could be happening to him. idk

One of the top funniest things even after all 15 seasons so far has to be Dean becoming a dog. The better part of it is when he's about to shoot a pigeon 😂😂
I really like your comment about Sam's personality traits and questioning the whole Zeke thing. I think you have a really good point and I never thought about it like that. My only guess is that since that conversation at the church, Sam feels like he and Dean made a pact. After something so traumatic, he's trying to be open and closer to his brother. But I really would have liked to see it more your way. Would have been really interesting.
What you said about Sam and the fact that he was honest about the whole thing, my thoughts are this: First, last time someone questions what he was, it turned out he had no soul. So he's probably gonna be a little freaked out by that because in his experience that question means bad things. Also, everything with the Demon Blood and all the secrets from that and how bad that turned out. Then in the Church he admitted he couldn't let Dean down again. In his experience, when he lies about stuff like that, he ends up letting Dean down. Sam's trying to be more honest, because he knows how lying has hurt them in the past. And it's sad, because while Sam's clearly trying to fix that whole lying streak, Dean is lying to him about something that he has literally *no right* lying about. Now, if it was something about Dean, and something he did that only effected himself, then he'd have a right to lie about it, but this is a lie about something he has done that effects Sam. And what we've seen more and more with Ezekiel is him taking control. Yes, it's always to heal people and all, and I'm glad Cas and Charlie got brought back to life and I'm glad Sam is alive, but he's continuously having his control taken from him with Dean's knowledge, and consent and often at his command. It just doesn't feel right, never has. And what's even worse, in my opinion, is that Sam has voiced his concerns and his feelings, but Dean continuously makes him feel like he's going crazy so he can keep up the lie. I get that he wants Sam alive, I do, and I get that Zeke has told him that if Sam knows he'll kick him out. But honestly, that should be Sam's choice. Some people say that's like saying that if someone wants to kill themselves you should let them, but it's not in my opinion. Because this isn't about Sam killing himself, this is about someone taking control of his body and mind, erasing memories, literally knowing what Sam knows (Zeke said it himself that he is in Sam's head and so he knows the same things he does, that's just not okay...) He has access to everything Sam does, Dean knows that he can erase Sam's memories at will, and yet he's allowing him to possess his brother. I love Dean, I do, but this is one thing that I will never be okay with. (Though I'm obviously glad they did the story, because it gave Jared the chance to play another character and he did an *amazing* job!) Sorry for the long ranty comment. This is just a storyline I feel *very* strongly about...
Idk what's with this show and the weird dog thing haha I mean I'm glad you enjoyed the episode but we've had some weird stuff with dogs. First the episode with the dog girl and then the poodle scene here which I - I can't.. Lol But yea anyways. Notice the parallel between the villain here and Sam both are "sick" borrowing some "powers" to get healed.. Of course Sam doesn't know.. But similar situation. Aannd remember that Sam is absolutely weak that's why he couldn't dodge the punch after he was healed by Zeke. Without Zeke's angelic powers he is in a really bad state. That's why Dean doesn't want him hunting. Oh and I forgot.. I read some where that this episode was supposed to be called "Doggy style" which.... Haha yea I think they were going too far with the dog stuff. I'm glad they at least changed the name lol
Always loved this episode, though I did forget it was this season. As for Sam being more open, I always assumed that it was Ezekiel's influence, remember Sam told Dean that he was feeling a lot more optimistic & happy recently (since he got possessed).
I don't think that's how posession works, regarding the person. I think Sam is just trying tobe more honest, especially since his last secrets were about being soulless and drinking demon blood, which had pretty bad consequences
Random fact. I've always known Steve Valentine (the scottish-american actor guy) as a magician so I'm always surprised when I see him in a non-magic role lol Edit: Then again, a shaman is kinda magical or mythical
There’s always the part of me that wonders what the colonel was about to say when the spell wore off... That niggling feeling of “is there actually some conspiracy theory out there” or was it just the writers using a mixed easy out combined with screwing with the audience...
I love this episode!🤣 and I agree with you, they should have done this with Cas and I love how Sam had to deal with this I just felt bad for Sam😂 also WHY DID THE ANGEL INSIDE SAM(who's name I forgot) HEAL SAM IN FRONT OF THE GUY?! And now Sam's more confused and obviously thinks somethings going on but hes unaware of what
Considering the part of his neck that got sliced, Ezekiel (the angel) didn't have much choice but to heal him then and there, if he wanted Sam to survive. He did what he could by keeping himself facing the other way and ducking back out again, but if he hadn't, Sam might have died from blood loss.

I have to say this is my least favourite episode... I could deal with the dog tendencies, which are funny, but I can’t stand the talking animals. They could have done this without the animal voices...
