Supernatural Season 1 Episode 2 "Wendigo" REACTION! 

just an update, in a couple weeks Supernatural will be uploaded 2 times a week when i have a day open up! :)

"I really like her chemistry with Dean", that's gonna be your reaction almost every episode, cuz Jensen Ackles has chemistry with everybody (female&male)

"is she gonna be his love interest?" for the next 45 minutes.. and then no. rinse and repeat for 14 years. 😂

Season 1 is really good, and I LOVE every single moment with the Winchester brothers, but later seasons DO get better. It's moves slightly more away from the monster-of-the-week format, and starts having more of an overarching story line, and I do think the show becomes stronger because of that. Glad to see you enjoying the beginning of the first season though, because it is an INCREDIBLE journey that I am so excited to get to take again through your reactions. And getting 2 episodes a week when you have a day open up is SO exciting, because this show has a LOT of seasons to get through, and I SO want more of these reactions from you :-)

A lot of the first season is setting up what Sam and Dean do and how they do it. The producers/directors at the time said their goal was to kind of make each episode a little horror movie every week if that helps your understanding of the first season format. There’s definitely main plot development, but a lot of the episodes are monster of the week sort of episodes like this one.

Great Reaction Ky. I really like your format and the discussion you do after each episode. You'll likely be seeing a lot of familiar faces on this show over the coming episodes/season's. The format of this show means there are a lot of characters coming and going each episode, so the casting company is kept pretty busy. They've done a good job overall at getting really good actors, so it's not surprising that there are so many that later show up in their own shows, or become famous themselves. The life the boys lead - traveling around the country hunting monsters - probably means they don't have much time for dating anyone. Other than on-night-stand situations. I won't say if that changes or not. I think the way you're watching this show may end up being a benefit to you. So many new viewers binge watch the show so fast that they really don't get a chance to absorb things. This show can get pretty dense and it often took me a while to process an episode, so I can't imaging watching a whole season in just a few days and really "getting it". I've been watching since the beginning in 2005, and have re-watched it several times since then - and I'm still discovering things I didn't notice before. Or making connections or realizations I never had before. There are a LOT of great episodes and some amazing season's - but, like any show there are a fair number of clunker episodes. But they're the minority, thankfully. So buckle up. It's a wild ride. And Enjoy!

I have seen this episode SO MANY times, but like seriously I felt that jump scare at Jessica's Grave zing straight to my toes.

So the old guy who survived the "bear attack" is named Donnelly Rhodes and he played Macon in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (spn has a lot of reference to horror but also to westerns)

Dean was also my favorite from the 4 seasons I watched.

The thing with Sam this Season is that he and John (their Dad) never really got along. The last time he saw him, he was kicking him out because he had the nerve to want to go to College. And he never knew Mary (their Mum [I'm English... Get over it! Hahaha]) so he always wanted to avenge her because of what Dean and John told him (which is admittedly not much at all). He didn't really have a personal vendetta against the thing, because he didn't really lose anything that night, sure he lost the *chance* to have a Mother, but he didn't lose something that he could miss (in the same way) because he never knew her. He never knew a life where he had a Mother and a Father (BECAUSE FUCK YOU JOHN [Sorry]) and a perfect life. But then he had Jess, he had a life and was gonna become a Lawyer and had gotten away from the life he hated so much (definitely missed Dean, I mean seriously, it's so obvious) but then Jess was killed too. So, yeah, he was always sad about Mary, and he went along with the hunting because of stories about her and all that and the fact that she was his Mother, but it wasn't as personal when it was Mary as when it was Jess. Does that make sense? And there are no spoilers in here, this is what I get from the first few episodes... :)

Fun fact, the actor who plays the younger brother of the guy that is missing, is the actor who plays Han Solo.

You'll soon learn that Kripke (show runner/creator) wanted SPN to be as different from the other shows out there at the time. He made a stand about the music NOT being regurgitated overused emo crap. To keep it as Americana as possible. You'll also soon notice that the show becomes mainly about Sam and Dean and their 'family' vibe. Both boys do have romantic encounters w/ females down the years but it is never about romance or any of that other sappy crap. It always inevitably leads back to Sam and Dean and how both boys would drop anyone and anything for each other, and of course, die for each other. It's how the fandom and the whole #SPNFamily started, characters get added into the family and called brothers and sisters but the core is still to this day, Sam and Dean.

Supernatural Supernatural- Season 1, Episode 2, In this episode- Wendigo the kid from the 1959 that did not get killed by the Wendigo" I think because of the fact that he was a kid the wendigo didn't kill him. I noticed the Wendigo only prey and kills adults the kids parents from the 1959 Haley's, brother Tommy, and his friends and other people they are all adults.

Another great reaction. Such fun to see a newbie. Obviously we’re only two episodes in, so early days. Sam character isn’t well fleshed out yet, but he’ll grow more complex over time, as will Dean and, most interesting of all, the brothers’ relationship. I personally find the next episode a bit boring but then there are a few stronger ones. And little by little, they are setting up the SPN universe. Once you increase to two eps per week I may wander over to your Patreon

Yes it's not as good of an episode, as I mentioned in your other episode this season is great to build for the audience the siblings relationship and their world but there are a few total garbage episodes that the show itself is embarrassed of. And I think the lead is their fathers journal, that they go through it to find answers I can't quiet remember how they go about it.

Dean is precious; I've never liked Sam.

A lot of people grew up watching this. there are a lotttt of seasons! Only bad thing I can think of about the show is that it has some sexism here and there which the fans have tried to talk to the creators about 😅 otherwise hope you like it, it’s a fun show!
