Supernatural Talk || s15e20 (we made it to the end, guys..) 

last supernatural talk for an episode... ever. this has been such a journey and I am so happy to have been on it. thank you to everyone that has been along for the ride, I love you guys so much, and this experience is something I will always have for the rest of my life.

Sucks that Covid-19 prevented Eileen and other characters from coming back. I wish they just delayed the finale as a special.

I think the scene that messed me up the most was when Sam just sat in Dean's room with it being very "lived in." All of the "unfinished business" when people die really gets to me. Not the unfulfilled dreams or whatever. I mean, that's sad and all, but it's the day to day stuff. The unwashed clothes, the trash not cleaned up. I imagine there are unfinished playlists that Dean hadn't finished listening to. Or a movie he wanted to see. The small things that actually make up one's life. The daily things that take up most of our time. It's just not done anymore. It just stopped.

I was not a fan of this episode but a simple audio cameo (like how they did in episode 19) of Cas saying “Hello, Dean”, would have been enough for me and my Cas stan heart

The amount of parallels between the first episode of Supernatural and the last one are....phenomenal.

The universe was giving us a sign when Supernatural had to stop filming after 15x18 cause of the pandemic 🤭gonna miss these supernatural talks :(

I think it’s interesting you thought the monsters were going to be regular humans because I did too. I was convinced Jack would have gotten rid of all the monsters.

I completely agree, I think there would’ve been a lot more people involved of not for COVID. It’s also why at least cas wasn’t there too he couldn’t really leave and come back for just a final ending.

The weirdest part is how Sam used dead man's blood to slow down that one vampire for questioning before killing it, but then went on ahead by charging in against 4 buffed up vampires. Lmao

just because the episode was emotionally stimulating, doesn´t make it a good ending for something that has been on for 15 years. at least that´s what i think. i had the same struggle as you with wanting to like it, because some of it was well done and i did cry and laugh and all that, but it was simultaniously... lacking. i expected better and i expected worse. that´s why a part of me is satisfyied and another one is saying "hold on a second, this isn´t right"

regarding dean´s death - he didn´t deserve that, in my opinion. it is how he EXPECTED to die, but now what he WANTED for a long time. where is him, retiring as a hunter, being something like second bobby? what happened to relaxing at a beach? what i thought he wanted later on in the show was defeat the ultimatte big bad, have free will. you know, break the hamster wheel he was trapped in, and live a life he was never allowed to have. and yes, he kind of got that in heaven (the only saving grace is how jack changed it, because dean has expressed as well in the passt that reliving his best memories didn´t seem fun), but at the end, HE NEVER GOT TO LIVE. And the entire death scene? of course i cried, my favourite characteer of all time was dying!! but the whole thing was a was laughable and did not do him justice. a NAIL? A FUCKING NAIL?? if he got torn to pieces, even that would have been somehow better (but only marginally tbh). but, you know, getting impaled in the back is just a **soulmates thing** (speaking of 12x23 with cas, this is a joke ik sam has gotten stabbed in the back as well). and the forhead touch????? that´s such an intimate thing. no siblings do that. i have 5 of them and inviding their space like that, even when dying? weird, big no no. thank you CW, for pleasing that part of fandom till the end. TL:DR: dean deserved a life relaxing at a beach (preferably with cas), his death and sam´s closeness were cringeworthy. side note: sam´s wife was eileen, you cannot change my mind.

To me this felt a lot more like an epilogue with the previous episode being the season finale. Which does work. I can see why some would be disappointed though.

I think what upsets me the most is if you had told me when I was watching the pilot the show was going to end with Dean Dying and Sam leading that apple pie life I would of 100% believed you so it felt like the previous 15 seasons meant nothing. I will say Jensen and Jared did some of their best acting with Deans death I was broken. Overall as lackluster as the ending was it will only be happy memories I have with this journey

No more plot armor = easy to kill. Chuck made them invincible for years.

When cover version of Carry on by fans started playing at the end I just lost it AGAIN 😭😭😭😭😭

I actually was the opposite. I was looking and waiting for fawls and errors in the story when I starting watching. I find many finale's usually have them so I was just waiting and other than I wanted Jack and Cas to show and they didn't, they actually put together a sad but nice and interesting episode for the final run. 9/10

I think we all knew it would break us in some way, but there was no way to prepare for it. The show has meant SO match to so many on different levels; I can’t see this being duplicated anytime soon, if ever.

The Dean dying ending just reminded me very early season 3 and 4 where both brothers talked about how Dean wanted to go out on a hunting Guns and blazing and Sam wanted to retire and have a normal family Both last 2 episodes felt kinda rushed and lack of characters coming back and it's not their fault bc of Covid but they still could've wrap up defeating God 5 episodes ago and the last 4 episodes could've been boys without any plot Armour saving people hunting things like very early season without any big bad and we really see the aftermath of them losing cas and making peace with the new world and then in the finale this happened In any case I'm OK with the ending, this is the ending I always wanted for the brothers thought this is what they deserved and I got it I may not like the path that much but I'm satisfied with the End of the road ❤️❤️❤️❤️

The way I look at it is Dean died the way he did was cause throughout the final season it's been shown and told that the whole 15yrs god has been giving them plot armor and this was the first time he wasn't writing the story and there was nobody protecting them so that's how I see it when they show Deans death.

The Heaven part reminded me of how seasons ago when the boys first saw Heaven, Dean was upset that Sammy's best memories did not involve him. I could relate. I love my family but they are VERY clingy, and I often have to tell them I want time alone. It sounds awful but the idea of a Heaven where my family could be in my face all the time is not appealing.

Considering they had to film around all the covid restrictions, im just grateful we got anything at all. They couldn't push filming back any longer due to Jared on Walker and Jensen being signed to The Boys. Deans death was anticlimactic, but how it was done was beautiful. The last COMWS montage broke me. All I kept saying was "I cant" over and over through hysterical sobbing. Been with this show since day 1. It filled my buffy/angel void so completely. Now...you get to experience both those as well. Buckle up girl, I am so damn jealous!

The original ending was supposed to be Sam & Dean meeting up at the road house in Heaven walking into the bar seeing everyone they’ve ever known in the bar partying while the band Kansas was playing this song live! They need to make that as an alternate ending for the DVD!

This finale was brutal. I cried so much

I’ve been watching since 2005, the very first day it premiered, because it came on after Smallville. 😂 It’s definitely been an experience. I was on tv.com forums back in like 2006-2007 theorizing about the psychic kids and Sam’s first death, experienced the S3 writer’s strike, remember the clip shown at Comic-Con of Dean climbing out of his grave prior to the season 4 premiere and the fandom going insane.... I haven’t been nearly as dedicated and invested for years now, maybe since season 5-6 when the story started getting more insane, but I’ve been watching new episodes for a full half of my life across four countries, multiple degrees, and countless jobs and life experiences. The boys and this show will always mean so much to me. I definitely feel a little let down too, but maybe not as much as others since I haven’t been truly diehard in years. I’ve enjoyed your reactions this season and love how a show this old has managed to pull in so many new viewers and keep people invested for 15 years. Kind of insane for a CW show (I mean that’s another thing - I remember when it was on the WB and when the CW first started, haha). I also couldn’t steam online obviously and just had to get to my little cable tv at the right time - if I was busy, there used to used to be Sunday reruns. I can’t believe this entire phase of my life is over.

This is still so unreal to me that the show is really over and I have no season premiere to be looking forward to 😔 it’s crazy to think about how I’ve been with this show since I was 8 and now I’m 23 but even tho I’m sad it’s over I’ll never forget the happiness it gave me all these years ❤️

Everybody saying because of covid, I don't know, but we have tech right now that can be used. They could have used factime, like sam calling eileen, donna or jody and saying dean died or something. Also find it out of character that sam did not mention eileen. Dean could have said, where is cas or I am going to find him. It would have been enough. Also has dean been driving this whole time...why not show him on the beach toes in the sand. Missed upportunity. I honestly hoped the boys lived to the end or both died, that would have been a suprise. This is season 1 coming back around. Too bad. But alley thank you for all your great reactions! I liked the idea of Heaven giving us the chance to re-live our happiest memories. I enjoy doing that here on Earth. When I learned that people with PTSD are haunted by past events, I started a meditation practice of pondering the favorite memories of my life. It always makes me feel better.

I really wished the ending had been fuller. I guess you could chalk it up to the pandemic but it really needed Charlie, Garth, Donna, Jody, Eileen, and so many others. Not even getting to see Sam's wife, assuming he did get married, was just ridiculous. I think killing off Dean like that was a mistake because the show could have continued in comic book form or something that would have been great for the fans who wanted it. Just started watching your brilliant channel this year and am so glad we still have Buffy and soon to be Angel hopefully.

OT, I've only been watching you since Buffy so it's strange to see your older vids and previous glasses style! Another series suggestion, on the off-chance you haven't seen it yet: Good Omens.

I've been re-watching the show. Some episodes more often than others... Anyway, it occurred to me that the 3 episodes -- 15x17, 15x18, and 15x19 -- make a great 3-part finale for not just the season 15, but for the entire series. The song "Get Together" by the Youngbloods, which played as we saw Jack bringing everyone back, was perfect for bringing closure to the overall theme of the show. The reminder/flashback montage, accompanied by "Running on Empty" by Jackson Browne, was a wonderful visual summary of the 15 seasons. [Also, it follows from the scene in which Sam and Dean toast to "all we have lost along the way."] For me, this gives better closure than does 15x20. [With a couple of caveats: In 15x20, it was nice to see that "Baby" got to go to heaven, since she was such an important character in the show; AND we get to find out that Jack had resurrected Cass, who helped Jack re-design heaven.] PS: (I realize they had wanted to do more with 15x20 but were limited by Covid. )

I like how we all interpreted each scene differently. It really makes you think of what storytelling should be. Also I wholeheartedly agree that we needed at least a mention of Eilleen. I loved the ep but we could have has more mentions of characters, Eileen being mentioned by Sam, and maybe not a cameo from someone most don't remember and got Misha in there to quarantine and film instead. I get why Dean died why he died because it's a sense of normalcy and they can now die a normal death like joes but also not really regular if you get me. Also from listening too you here, and you mentioning OOC things, I have noticed that the brothers have been quite out of character in general in season 15, at least I felt. I feel the writers just wanted to get the writing down cause the wanted to be done with it. idk. We know SPN is known for its plot holes BUT writing characters out of character. When I first watched it I really really liked it, and thought it was beautifully done, but then I sat down and mulled it over and watched what other people thought then thought myself I NOW have my discrepancies. IT WAS SATISFYING but also missing the core that they've built for a long time. And I agree that a couple of things could have definitely been done differently. GEEZE, this is so long, I feel I should put these thoughts in a video lmao. An essay.

It felt so empty after Jack restored everything. Sam and Dean didn’t call everyone and get together. It felt like they were alone. That the restoration point was after all their friends were dusted. It felt wrong and I thought they were going to address why everyone was missing but they didn’t. That was disappointing.

I liked that intro, especially since I started watching you late, I believe late into season 13 of supernatural, haven't really watched any of your other videos, but I think I'll check a few out. It seems like I have the unpopular opinion, but I loved the ending, poetic how Dean died like Sam did, and I loved the growing up scene, cried when Dean died, cried when carry on started, cried when Sam died, a good ending in my opinion. The ending could of been better, but it could have been like game of thrones, and it was not like that. I've heard covid hit them pretty bad, in some ways I wish they would have stopped flimining until everything resolved itself, if it ever does, anyways I enjoyed the ending, bittersweet, I've always looked forward to your reactions, you're an interesting person, thank you for the reactions. :)

I'm 29, and this show has been on literally half my life-it's been a bumpy road, with some amazing highs and lows, but what a ride! Edit: It's okay to cry, I cried too. Edit Edit: The ending was like the original season 5 ending, only Dean died instead of Sam getting locked in The Cage, and much less impactful. It was a good fanfic.

Ngl, I kind of hated the ending. Seems a bit too rushed and doesn't do the show the justice it deserved. The fact the Cas was only mentioned twice and wasn't in it other than that pissed me off. Dean definitely deserves to have peace. I'm glad he can relax now but he died in the shittiest way possible (and I definitely got Wincest vibes from that scene). In my opinion, they did Misha (and Jensen) dirty. Idk if you know but Jensen originally didn't like the ending but was convinced by everyone to go through with it. He was told to "take a step back from being Dean" and look at it as a fan. Which is bullshit, because Jensen knows Dean better than anyone and knows how he would die while being respectful to the character. The show has been a constant thing in my life for the past 5 or so years and the ending truly disappointed me. But I'm happy to have been a part of it before it fucked us over. The show went back to the very beginning where Sam had a normal apple pie life and Dean died hunting. It erased almost all of the character development they had, and that makes me angrier than I've ever felt. For many of us, 15x19 or 15x18 is the last episode, like it is for you. I wish I could enjoy this episode too but, I don't think I can or ever will.
