The first band I joined in college was a string quartet called Supernova.
Getting to play with musicians like Ludvig Girdland (violin), Robert Anderson (violin), and Miguel Atwood Ferguson (Viola) (all of whom were mentors to me and much better musicians than I’ll ever be) was one of the greatest gifts of my life, and had a profound impact on me as an artist.
We made one album, had no idea what we were doing, and after that fateful day when a drunk driver took Ludvig's violin from us, it was over before we knew it.
As the years have passed, this album has mostly disappeared from the internet, so I wanted to post this to memorialize this amazing time in the lives of 4 crazy kids and the music of a generationally talented violinist who deserves to be heard for years to come.
