@@goody82az Check out Project Wingman that came out recently. It is an ace combat clone made by ace combat fans. It's pretty cheap as well.

Exactly my whole problem with the Spare Squadron concept, yes there were penal units in history, but not with 50+ ammunition supersonic aircraft that can take more than 1 missile to kill

At least in the first 2 DLC missions the teammate AIs are somewhat more than flying targets

@@周生生-f1f Yeah, I've seen them actually start shooting down enemy planes on higher difficulties, and also being more vocal about the battle situation, although not by a massive amount, especially in Anchorhead.

I've noticed that as the game moves on, your allies become more and more competent.

I actually prefer allied NPCS just being there as opposed to stealing all of your kills, what irks me is the AI tends to pick up the slack in the last two minuets of a mission or before a checkpoint you know the time when you most need more points.

The only game where you're allies were actually useful was in AC6. Honestly that support system was so OP, but I miss it.

@@BigsGaming I hate Psm. I can't learn it. The triggers on my controller are too worn and pressing the triggers and buttons in a quick succession to activate the manuveur just doesn't register. Nearly started crying one day after about 4 hours of trying to do it with my banjaxed controller

That's kinda funny, as I was the complete opposite.. My first reaction at that comment about 'shooting down the cons'..was "with what!? You bastards can't even defend yourselves! ..not without us cons..you've got giant balloon trucks & balloon animals..not even a real base, with any real amenities..because your meant to be a giant target! You have nothing to stop planes with. So, unless your prison guards have a few MANPADS around, just to keep the convicts in line as they fly around the base, they're pointless once the cons get airborne.. And you saw how how even when taxiing to the runways, when Champ forced a takeoff, that there was no control from ground units to keep them in line & behaving, following orders.. It was all "When he gets back.." crap. Unless youve got explosives in our planes & sabotaged all our ejection seats & removed the canopy emergency seperation charges..and also locked our cockpit canopy closed from the outside.. G'day Thom, Yeah, those pods are meant to be stealthy, quad-carriage-of AMRAAM pods, that externally carry their missiles 'internally' in those 'stealthy' pods.. They were mostly intended for the F22, but hey.. why not an F-14..? Not like it has a smaller RCS than an F-16, but they don't let it use them too..be about the same as a viper or a typhoon carrying a pair of storm shadow cruise missiles each.. Hard to fight with, and not exactly aerodynamic..they usually punch off EDT's & other heavy stores as soon as BVR combat goes.. As if you'd ever try to furball or dogfight with those damn things under your wings, in any machine..the G loadings & air resistance alone would get you killed fast..be like having huge sails out & act like the aero-nautical equivalent of a pair of big boat anchors! Take it all with a grain of salt & an asprin..It's just a game..where you can hide from radar in clouds! 🤣 Besides..as long as Mover's having fun, I'm having fun too.. Cheers mate! 🍻

@@jcrafterz They didn’t take it over, they were retreating. Cyclops and Strider Squadrons were even ordered to cover their retreat.

@@jcrafterz Because even if they could have taken control of the island, they wouldn’t have enough men to hold it, especially with the poor military strategy Osea tends to use (which is basically rely on a few individuals to do all the heavy lifting while the ground forces pretend that they’re storm troopers). It’s also possible that Erusea may have deployed some scorched earth tactics or taken most, or all, of what the Oseans could’ve used off the island some time before and/or during the attack.

Mission 12 wasn’t too hard, I did it with the F-15E (yes, i went back to grind mrp to unlock it) on my 3rd try. I had way more problems with mission 11. I was already sure about the F/A-18F being the best choice for the mission but it was my execution that needed improvement. Took a while but now I am very decent at shooting and destroying the platform cores.

it grows on you, it gives you a very uneasy fealing that goes well with having to fly away from missiles with no way to fight back. great use of dissonance also.
