Supertramp first found love in North America in Canada in the 70's. Montreal Forum, 1977. The paper said the next day a couple of band members were in tears because of the most appreciative Forum audience. I was there and they were great.
A favorite song from my childhood. Not surprised to hear you cover it. Supertramp was always appreciated in France far more than here in the States. I'd love to hear you give "Lady" a try as well from the same album.

I'm not a proper bass player but Dougie Thomson is one that really stands out and yet sadly he's overlooked. So happy to see new generations of musicians still playing this music. I just subscribed and I'm going to watch every Supertramp song first. Cheers!

Wow, that was cool. I’ve been into Supertramp since Breakfast in America came out…I’m a drummer by default 😂 I once brought a mate home from school who was a bass player. I’d just got Crisis What Crisis, he pointed out the bass riff and I never realised how the bass is the heartbeat of any band! I play Another Man’s Woman live when warming up on my kit…it’s about 8-10 BPM faster. Great to see the youth still enjoying proper music.

So nice work, Supertramp was and is then band of my life, hear it since I was 14 y.o., and still enjoy after 30 years, I see so nice young people still is able to see the value of this symphonic rock, if u look for some different live videos of this song, u can see Rick plays it different ways, the same song is not always the same before, since he rewrites it in each live concerts, cause he is a writer apart of keyboard player and singer, so, keep on, congrats, and king regards from Spain (Europe) and sorry about my english, just in case :)

I am a Supertramp fan since of the end 70 s ...better Rodger Hodgson fan who wrote the best songs...I saw Supertramp in Cologne "Müngersdorfer Stadium" in the beginning of the 80 s Chris de Burgh was the foreplayer and no one knows him at that time...One of my favorite bassists is mark king from level 42. @balazsernhaft8337 I know a lot about Supertramp. Rick only composed the base and the lyrics of his songs and the rest was arranged by Roger. Roger played bass at the beginning and wrote the music for all the instruments except the wind instruments. Dougie was an excellent performer, not a songwriter.
@balazsernhaft8337 Of course I know that Rick played the drums, and I also know that the string arrangements were done by an outsider: Richard Hewson. That Roger composed almost all the instruments in his songs and recorded them on a multitrack tape is well known and proven. It's not just his words, and if you don't believe Roger, who else do you believe? Roger was a very prolific songwriter, much more so than Rick. For every song that Rick wrote, Roger wrote 10 and in his albums they took all the songs that Rick had and they could choose any of Roger's songs at will because he had so many. The recording processes were very manual and I don't doubt that all the musicians were involved and had their say, but the songwriters were Roger and Rick. No one else got credits, so they were the ones who sorted out how their songs should sound. And to say this is not to belittle anyone. It is what it was.
@balazsernhaft8337 You are confused with me. I'm not a Rick hater. I love all his songs and I play many of them on the piano, like Antoher man's woman, From now on, Goodbay stranger, etc. I also like Roger and I'm not trying to put one in front of the other. I just recognize the value of each one, and Roger was good too. And when it comes to the bass, I find Roger's style in the bass of all Supertramp songs. Nothing else. And yes, Rick composed the melody and the lyrics of his songs and together with the others he finished arranging his songs. You won't like to know, but it was like that.
@balazsernhaft8337 Well, I agree with what you say. Rick is a master on the piano and his improvisations are great. But I wouldn't know how to choose Rick or Roger because each one was a genius in his own way. For me, Supertramp was both together. After the split, I didn't like the group or their songs that much anymore, even though there are some that I like, it wasn't the same again. I liked Rick with Roger a lot better than without Roger. I really liked several songs from Roger solo: "For every man" and "Love Is a Thousand Times" keep the Supertramp sound, but this is what I think. All the best.
Rick Davies is all about it I just love it I'm Scorpio and I like that mystery about him he just always had it he still does I wish they would I wish Roger hodgson obviously everybody thinks this would never have left that group it's so easy said you know hindsides 20/20 and the music nowadays doesn't come close I shouldn't compare but there's there's something a beautiful about it I remember those days I remember 1983 when I was in third grade and when they came out with that album back then in 83 and famous last words and it this was better and better and times have changed haven't we seen and hands out that I know it has nothing to do with the Supertramp but it does cuz it's music Mark slaughter fly to The Angels he just brought it to higher level I always have to mention the fly to the angels he's a adopted child and his his I see his mom's Spirit talking back through him I hope everything's all right with him and his his biological mother God bless them both and and God bless the universe God bless you
