its so beatifull to see how this game has developed, i remember playing it in 2016 - 2019, now i came back and woah this game changed a LOT but i really like it!
Best free platform game I've ever played. I've been playing it since I was a child, it will look very spectacular and beautiful after the changes it will have.
Endlich. so wie es aussieht hat man hier endlich vorwärts gemacht uns den Editor verbessert. Das hätte ich Jahre zuvor gebrauchen können. An die neue Animation von Tux kann ich mich nur schwer gewöhnen vor allem seine Sprünge fand ich früher besser. Trotzdem möchte ich dem Supertux Team herzlich für die Fortschritte Danken. Jetzt müsste es nur noch einfacher sein die eignen erstellen Level irgendwo hoch zu laden, damit die Fans das spielen können. DANKE
Funny how hyped I am despite owning a beefy gaming PC and many big releases coming in the near future, SuperTux 0.7.0 is still the one that I'm hyping the most :) SuperTux was one of the first, if not the first game I have ever played at 2-4 years old. This game has been there with me even before I even went to kindergarten. Even at 1st grade, I still remember my jaw dropping when seeing the Forest World for the first time. Now I'm nearing 24 and I still keep up with this game from time to time! You guys have made amazing progress and I'll definitely become a donator.
Can't wait to try out the new stuff once its all ready and polished, this game is one of my childhood games i got on my very first computer and i'm very happy and glad to see how much it has changed and improved after all these years. Really excited to also try the new improved script screen in the editor.
Finally. It looks like they've finally made progress and improved the editor. I could have used that years ago. I'm having a hard time getting used to Tux's new animations, I especially liked his jumps better before. I would still like to thank the Supertux team for the progress. Now it just needs to be easier to upload the levels you create somewhere so that the fans can play them. THANK YOU
I'm so glad that my favorite game is developing further. I just didn't really like what you did with the snow texture, but it's okay. Continue in the same spirit!
This is amazing. Did you get new coders , as it seems a massive progress happened this year. But the best thing I like are the new short videos. Like this or the Michael Jackson bomb 😂 and the soundtrack of the game is still an absolute blast.
Today I completed your game on my pc after completing the Android version in 2020. I have to say that the game is sometimes difficult and the forest sprites (especially ghost trees) are not beautiful, I have to say that it is a very good game. I hope that in August this update will be released and I hope that you will compete the project with this version by adding the latest worlds (tropical world and nolok world), add more power ups, remake the ice cubes and snowballs as welland I especially hope that you make the boss battle with ghost tree more feasible and longer by adding 4 or 5 phases. I hope that in the future you will compete once and for all with this project, which is magnificent. Good luck with development
Moving to Godot would be a good idea. That way devs will be able to stay more focused on character and other artwork, music and level design. And will be able to provide quick release.
@@supertux thanks Although I know this is a placeholder, but can you also somehow change it in the settings, like "toggle classic look" mode? That's what I've been thinking honestly. Anyway, SuperTux is a great game! Can't wait to play it again after so long!
Wow.. it's amazing!! I've been playing this game for almost 13 years are can't tell how excited I am to play the next version. Will the 0.7.0 be released this year?
Different developers have worked over time with many different ideas, there have been dead periods of development as well... Good news is that right now the development is really active and a roadmap has been laid out for us to follow along until 1.0.
Is the forest coming back..? i remember when i was 8 or 7 or even 9 i used to play super tux on mobile, however it was old but i managed to get all keys in the forest!!
The forest is currently in the game, however in the process of being remade, as shown in the video. The key mechanic will come back eventually in a different form, which would make it encompass all 4 worlds.
Open any level from the world in the editor, press Escape and click "Package Add-on". This will package the worldmap and all levels of the world into an add-on, not including any custom resources.
I remember playing this game early 21st century on my Dad's Linux PC. Super Tux was one of my very first games even when I was between 4 and 6 years old. I remember the very first level where you had to run and jump the same time, god I was so bad and miss the good old days.🥹😂
