What do you need?
1. A dodge ball
2. A circular arena (you can actually construct one or just use tables)
How do you play?
Everyone's goal is to be the last one in the arena. Players get out if the ball touches them below the knee. No matter how it happens, if the ball comes in contact with the player below their knee, they are out! You can adjust this rule to be below the waist if you want (that's actually what we chose to do here). Players get each other out by hitting the ball around. There are a few rules about hitting the ball though.
1. If you hit the ball, you can't hit it again until it is reset. That is considered a double hit. The ball resets when either another player touches it, or it touches the walls of the arena. If you hit the ball and then hit it again before it resets, you are out.
2. If you hit the ball out of the arena, you are out.
3. If the ball touches you above the knee, even if you didn't intend to touch it, that counts as a hit. Rules 1-2 apply in this case as well. For example, if someone hits the ball towards you and it hits you on your shoulder, you can't hit it until it resets. Also, if it hits your shoulder and bounces out of the arena, then you are out because it counts as you hitting it out of bounds.
4. Double hits are allowed once only two players are left in the arena, but no triple hits.
If you are outside the arena, and then someone hits the ball outside the arena and you catch it before it touches the ground, they are still out but you get to go back in the game.
