In this interview, Prof Christopher Chen shares his valuable insights on Alzheimer's Disease and NeuroAiD, referencing the publication "Alzheimer's Disease THErapy With NEuroaid (ATHENE): A Randomized Double-Blind Delayed-Start Trial", published in the Journal of the American Medical Directors Association.
This study provides evidence for the use of NeuroAiD as an add-on to standard Alzheimer's Disease treatment. NeuroAiD shows a favourable tolerability profile and improves cognitive functions upon early initiation.
Prof Christopher Chen is the director of Memory Aging and Cognition Centre in the National University Health System and an associate professor in the Department of Pharmacology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
He has received numerous awards in his field of interest, more recently in 2017, Clinician Scientist Award - Senior Investigator, National Medical Research Council, Singapore. His major research and clinical interests are in neurochemistry, molecular biology and treatment of stroke, and dementia. He has published over 400 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters, served on several editorial boards (Stroke, Journal of Neurology Neurosurgery and Psychiatry), trial steering committees and data safety monitoring boards.
