As the spouse of an NFL lineman for 28 years, I sure could use some support if it's in the Dallas area. I live in McKinney about 20 miles north of Dallas. The webinar on May 6 was informative. I am glad to be part of a group that can hopefully help make our treating those with CTE better.

I'm 45, just celebrated 16 year's of marriage this September 18th 2020, I have cte, I know it, because I played full contact football for 18 seasons starting at 7 years old through 38 years old. Year in and year out I was known for being the hardest hitter on the field. This includes 3 years of college and 6 years of Semi-Pro amateur league. There were several years in between that I was too destructive or dysfunctional to even play. I've been sober for almost 30 days. But my wife is very sick and afraid, she says, even when I drink even just one beer. I can't remember anything and I can't learn new stuff very well, I wasn't always like this I wasn't always like this, I used to have a photographic memory. I could listen to a song five or six times and practically be able to recite the entire thing. Thanks for the everything, I feel better about myself after watching this. I don't remember a whole lot from it but I remember that it made me feel good. I live my entire life in the moment and I carry a notepad with me for things I have to remember. sometimes when I argue with my wife it's in hopes that I may hopefully eventually remember what we were arguing about. Thanks again and keep on being a beacon of Hope. And thanks to the ladies for sharing, I felt like I was listening to my wife. I forgot to mention we have an 11 year old boy and a 15 year old girl. I have zero friends but the potential to have hundreds.

ARE YOU THERE, can you tell me what is happening to me now. I have CTE since early 2000's, actually maybe before then. But now in 2024, the underneath of the top of my scull feels like it has grime stuck underneath it, like its all decayed on the underneath of my skull and it burns... but at the same time, my brain... and my head, both always hurt, I feel pain all the time. I take pain killers of both types and its like they have no affect, even if the pain is very slightly deadened for ten minutes, it just comes back and I have to keep taking more tablets and still the pain remains... the pain does not go away, its there always. The pain is there when I wake up and when I go to sleep, but I cannot sleep properly, I keep being woken up like every twenty minutes or so by very clear loud explosion noises in my head that do not exist... the noises are not real, there in my head and loud bangs, and multiple bangs keep going off in my head that I cannot get a decent nights sleep... because am constantly woken up by loud explosions going off in my head that are not real and do not exist in the real life living world.,,,,.
