I recall reading a little about a massive invasion of Nazarick by multiple opposing guilds in the MMO. Would be cool if they could adapt something like that.
The tanking aspect comes from the same place as Aura and Mare come from. Namely that Bukubukuchagama was a hentai VA known as Kazeumi Kumi. Peroroncino, her younger brother, once complained about buying a hentai game where she was a VA.

One of the saddest part for Takemikazuchi passion of rivalry on Touch Me was his unfinished weapon. Forever unfinished and untested, now a display in Nazarick's treasury :")
To be completely honest the fact that only one member came back on at the end is really lame. They couldn't spend a few minutes to just say goodbye to the guy that kept their hard work afloat. Since I don't have the memories that the actual character does, I can say for certain that they are not worth his sadness. Though I can understand his feelings as I for one have been there when it comes to losing touch with online gaming friends when a game falls out of favor. Regardless, that is one thing that Overlord hammers down really well. The falling out and the emotions thereafter.
You have great point! Takemikazuchi's story is good example for it. He was enthusiastic to create weapon powerful enough to challenge Touch Me and when he Quit the game he lost his goal and motivation to continue playing YGGDRASIL and soon after Quit the game as well. This is also really relatable for everyone who played MMO RPG games and made friends inside of it.
Id understand them but im more pissed with guys like peroroncinocand ulbert who were really close with momonga. Touch me not coming is pretty sad as well but be did have a family to support
Why lame?? What is lame is people like momonga who only live for yggdrasil the game. Not too mention, it was already when the game is on the verge of collapsed. Most of them probably already forgot the game and no emotional attached to it. People who think they can convert online friends into true friend is probably childish and doesn't have good social life in IRL.
Well in terms of pure destructive power, Ainz cannot be the strongest since he's specialized in instant kill magic ( Grasp Heart, Aura of Despair etc). Ulbert or Tabula Smaragdina were specialized in destructive magic soo...
@@justanaveragenormalgamer1632 He was made guild master at a later point because he was best at organizing the guild in a literal sense, and managing their finances. He was sub-par at PvP and the last one online. He isn't the best strategist / tactician.
Due to the new world transfer he might be the strongest now actually. His summons have their own personality now and can respond to advanced commands. There doesn't seem to be a limit to how many he can summon at a time which the game definitely would have had limits on. His ability to make endless armies is pretty unstoppable. Still he's trying to fix his weakness of not being min/maxed for pvp combat. That's the entire reason he did the warrior training and tried being one himself. He's reached his absolute pinnacle for magic, but in every other field he has no experience whatsoever. So if he were to get stronger it would be as a warrior or a thief. He's aiming for warrior so he can wear Touch Me's vastly op gear.
In the light novel, it’s clearly state that Ainz is like above average in term of power (about 60-70%). Touch me is one of the strongest player in the game

From what I remember Ainz’s class isn’t the strongest even among the supreme beings; However, he is supposedly a world class strategist both in and out of combat with only Touch Me coming close ( In terms of others in the guild ). Touch Me is apparently also a combat world champion so that should give you some idea of how powerful Ainz really is.
ainz's build was sub-par in its combat abilities in the hands of any other person, but for over 12 years every single day he had perfected its use and made it very powerfull due to his knowledge. One of the 6 great gods Surshana was an overlord with the eclipse class that is only availibe at lvl 95, ainz also has this job class but is more proficient with it.
I wouldn’t be so sure. If I remember correctly, I think I was mention that all the Players who were still online were sent to different periods in time. I don’t remember if Players who were grouped together were sent to the same time period or not. So, whether or not they’d be together in the New World if HeroHero had stayed on is kind of up in the air.
@@AgentofAlcor613 That isn't true actually. The "five greed kings" were five players that came to the world together at the same time. What determines whether players arrive together, is their proximity to world items.
@@AgentofAlcor613 Actually considering they are located in the same building together next to the nazarick treasury (where the world items are located) its likely if HeroHero didn't log out the two of them would have been placed (alongside with Nazarick) in the same time period and location.
momonga also knows more spells than anyone else in yggdrasil so he can change things up a lot more. it makes sense since his fighting style involves learning everything about an enemy and crushing them utterly using more than just raw power.

Actually there was I think 2 Light Novel volumes dedicated to tell the story of how they captured Nazarick maybe that was Vol. 8 and 9? Or 7 and 9? Dunno I forgot already but it was epic bro its like a real dungeon raid but a lot harder

well if they came back and were hostile to momonga he would be fucked without support from the NPC, it is statted that momonga is an RP oriented build, and his overlord class isn't even the best to cast spell, the"World disaster" class seems to be, like the world champion class, a tier higher than the overlord class, making it a top tier class specialized in PVP
If I'm understanding these right, then there were 2 guild members more powerful than Ainz as a caster, which makes sense since he built his avatar for roleplay. But if Ulbert was one of the ones who quit I hope he at least bequeathed his "grand catastrophe" skill to Momonga before he left... dont know when he'd ever need to use it, but would be interesting to read about it though.
Ulbert can't give his own skill to Ainz. That's not how it works. Ainz would have to kill Ulbert to gain his World Disaster class just so he could obtain the skill, something Ainz couldn't have done since he had been level capped.
@@gardhd4623 he can’t, pandora could have the level and basic and intrinsic skills of the supreme being, but couldn’t use a skill that is special because of their title, for example Pandora actor can’t use the skill of World disaster class of ulbert or the skill of World champion class of Touch me

@@Sweet_Venom0027 no, unfortunately the spell "great catastrophe" can only be achieved by obtaining the title of "world disaster", and that could only be obtained by defeating and killing a player who has that title in pvp, a very difficult feat to achieve, ainz I would have had to kill Ulber in a legal pvp to get that title. In general, in terms of magic attack, Ainz was the third (I think)... the first was Ulbert, the second was Tabula and the third was Momonga.
If there is another member ainz guild come to yggdrasil with momonga..😅😅 i hope there will be at least one person from rival guild that also transport into the world. I want to see intense powerful magic fight from momonga.
Ainz's character build is not really that good. His build is just above average. This is because he focused on a role playing character build rather than a pvp build min maxing everything. Sure it would be nice to see a player fight him but if they are both at level 100, then more likely Ainz will lose.

Then again, Ainz also has a lot of time to plot and mold the world into his image, so it might not be the best case scenario for if/when that player does come.
Yggdrasil has 9 worlds and for each world there will be 1 world champion, Touch Me is 1 of the 9 world champions of Yggdrasil and he is a 2nd player of Yggdrasil
Touch Me was the 3rd Strongest player of Yggdrasil...which means there were at least two players capable of beating him in combat, which is scary considering Touch Me is a Dodge Tank Build(iirc)
in PVP he was third, World champion class is the higher class in existance, class like World Devastation are just a tier lower and are also unique in the world, since tyopu need to defeat the previous world devastation, hiowever it's tjhe supreme class for a spell caster, making it obviously weak against pvp oriented world champion class
Isn't TouchMe found a "bug" that make him literally unkillable? And upon found it the devs patched it but can not touch TouchMe character settings already. I think I heard that somewhere.
Imagine if Overlord has the same chain of rules just like in the movie Underworld. The chain is an ingenious power-sharing arrangement among the three Elders, avoiding conflict among them by ensuring that only one of them was in command in any given century; and second, to provide each Elder with a much-needed respite from the demands of eternity.
What I don’t understand is that why did they have to quit the game to go to work. They’re some of the best players in the game, and they could surely make A LOT of money from playing. Like streaming, selling items, etc. People spend a lot of money in video games.
Because you are thinking in terms of today, while the author of Overlord started writing in 2010. In 2010 World of Warcraft was only half-a-decade old, Twitch as a live-streaming platform didn't even existed and RU-vid Gaming was still in its infancy. Back then, no one probably believed that it was possible to earn significant money through gaming (at least not in the volumes we know today is possible). Even today, content creators and gamers focusing on MMORPGs like WoW and FF14 (except maybe Asmongold) only enjoy little attention, mainly from their niche, compared to content creators who are tied to more popular games, or are not tied to any particular games at all. So yeah, if Overlord were to be written in 2020 instead of 2010, it would have been a very different story for sure. But, from the perspective of 2010, it totally makes sense that players would just quit after they lose motivation as there was no real, secure possibilities to earn a steady and secure income through gaming.

In terms of power not so much, how in terms of variety he seems to shine surpassing the amount of spells a player can normally learn. Since he was the leader I assume he was the type who was most dangerous when preparing for a fight has having over 700 spells allows him to be more unpredictable.
@@lordescanor1365 he was the leader cuz he was on very good terms with all other members. As for power, his build did held him back a lot, but due to his strategy, he often won "best of 3" duels.
momonga is the 3rd powerful supreme beings in nazarick while touch me and ulbert can nuked everybody in the game all raiders in nazarick can not pass 8th floor caused of rubedo victim and omega tandem if they pass touch me and ulbert will wipe them out.
It would be such a waste if this guys didn't got animated so-bin illustrate is such a high tier art, i want to see them moving and i also want to see how powerful this guild hopefully the author change his mind and gave a short story about the members of the guild or its better if madhouse going to animate the scene where players invaded nazarik so we see this guys in action
One of the rooms in Nazarick is a display case with the equipment and information of all the members who left the game. I see it very possible that at some point all this will be used to create puppets that replicate them.
To me, overlord has a tendency to curbstomp certain longings the viewer may have :c Cool fights may last for a few seconds if whoever is fighting nazarick lasts without being insta-killed. It would be nice if we got an OVA or something of the past with Nazarick, and their time as a guild..
In Terms of Pure Damage, Ulbert, due to his Unique Class/Title World Disaster: Mana/Spell Arsenal wise it's Ainz due to his Unique Classes/Titles allowing him to break the Mana Cap and Spell Limit
Ulbert is way above on damage and devastation AOE Tabula is incredibly strong on concentrated damage Momonga has incredible mana reserv and overall polyvalences making him excellent for long time support behind touch me or other major pvp
I dont think people realise how bad the world of momonga is like its super polluted and seeing children's cropses is normal there I think so just surviving is probably super hard there aint no way they would have time to visit some game after q0 years
Out of curiosity since Ulbert quit does it mean no one will get the chance to gain the title world disaster cause how do you pvp someone who isn't playing anymore?
Worst case scenario, basicaly a repeat of the earlier Players sent to the New World (Ten Gods/Eight Kings). PDL's modus operandi is to sow distrust amongst the players. They would end up PK-ing each other until their levels are low enough to be easy pickings. I don't know if this is mentioned, but I think a player dies if their levels become 0 or lower. Even Ainz Oal Gown is not immune to internal squabbles as the character sheets imply. Momonga will likey keep them in check but the loose cannons are bound to cause a dozen troubles or two.

Pretty much Ulbert and Demuirge will have a pretty good time creating chaos in the new world. And lets say during the Katze plain massacre, Ulbert may not hold himself on how his Super-tier magic works againts the royal army since Ulbert's past life did him bad, i doubt he'll spare anyone including the King.
Ulbert wasn't evil in real life. Doubt that he'll be evil in the new world. Or maybe, if his demonic race makes him more malevolent. He created Demiurgus more like a parody of the bussniesmen and the elites in his world. Wearing a costume like them and being a devil is an analogy with the contracts that those people do to screw you with shitty jobs with many working hours and little pay. All in all, maybe Ulbert wouldn't do more atrocities than Momonga did. And he wouldn't be bend by the N.P.C.s just to let them do what they want.
The question is, how would his morality change? Momonga has no empathy because he's undead. Would Ulbert get any special rules making him a psychopath, or would he retain his human personality? And there is a big difference between roleplaying a super evil guy and being one. Seeing how the RL of Igdrassil was a Cyberpunk world, Ulbert might have roleplayed a super evil guy as a power fantasy, to be "the bad guy on top" for once (as opposed to Touch Me, who played a good guy as a power fantasy, because in real life he was forced to be a crooked cop) Imagine being a normal person, meeting a monster from a fanfic you created, and seeing him proudly commit atrocities to gain your approval. This could be a very different and very interesting story.
I know its silly but id like it if they left one of the Supreme beings with no info or name, that way readers/watchers can have there own Supreme being oc
now we comes to know that momonga is not the strongest in the guild but he is the strongest in a way because of his IQ and power his powers are all balanced and that's why all the members choose him as the guild master🤔🤔
Momonga strength is in Administration, regulation & Negotiation. That's the reason he became Guild Leader, coz no one can did that job as good as Momonga.
@@929Ethan Momonga/Suzuki Satoru have a job. He is one of the biggest spender in their guild. The different is Momonga doesn't have family. That's why he spend more time in the game compare to other guild.
In pvp the three would be about similar in strength but ulbert with the greatest atk then Tabula and then Ainz. However, do remember Ainz has maxed out magic defense
Not really, what makes you think that? While his build was more of a roleplay, with his strategy he often won "best of 3" duels. Other characters like Variable Talisman also had a really messed up build, and Iirc there was also a blacksmith, so that's not a combat class.
Fun Fact: The maximum amount of spells a level 100 player could learn was 300. However, Ainz used his special ability "Dark Wisdom" to learn and memorize 718 different spells. Even those spells he had not learned could still become a weapon to read his opponents’ strengths, once Ainz knew of them. As part of Ainz Ooal Gown, he was easily ranked in the top five amongst his guild members when it came to magical knowledge.
no he is a bit above average on his team in term of strenght, but was especially usefull because, despite having quite an average dps capacity, he was extremly polyvalent with huge mana reserv and more spell learned than anyone, in addition he had lot of spell to scan ennemies, makingg him very important to find weakness. so for long time combat he was really good, however he was quite weaker in 1v1 scenario in addition he was also extremly good for administrative work ^^
@@skittles664 well he is the third best spell oriented character of his guild however he lack dps because of his rp oriented build, however he is also extremly good at endurances fighting, with the hughest mana reserv and spell diversity He is in raw power a bit above average in his guild, a mid tier But in effective use for the guild he is high tier (momonga is their support for longer fight, other spell caster are stronger but can't sustain their dps if the fight is too long
