The game has an incredibly high learning curve, but once you start to grasp the important concepts you'll be dishing out pain and suffering like a band director without his coffee.
What difficulty is this? Infinite air units attack at around the 7 minute marker and you have no aa, but since that didnt happen im assuming this is medium?
It's easy difficulty you can tell by the configuration of the artillery nests as there is only 1 cannon per nest and only 2 of 4 possible nests have artillery
I bought Supreme Commander Forged Alliance not knowing how it is except it's one of the great RTS games out there, so I try it, and got my own ass handed to me ON THIS VERY FIRST MISSION... The first two phase, I can deal with, but once the Galactic Colossuses showed up out of nowhere, it's game over. Guess there's a reason why this game is called SUPREME Commander LOL. Seems like I need to practice myself a lot more if I am to survive the whole campaign, heck, the first mission!
***** LOL That was the very first time I played the game, man. I don't know what to expect at all. To be honest, I'm kinda a casual RTS player who finds himself on a very large scale battlefield where I have to control everything at once. I thought I finished the damn mission when I destroyed the Aeon bases that's attacking the UEF Town, and THEN the map expands again, revealing the Colossuses for the first time and I'm like 'Oh crap...I don't have enough units to handle all of them...' Now I finished the whole game now, original included, but only on normal level, though. I wouldn't dare to go to hard difficulty yet...
***** i do not think so, not 100% sure that games with mods will be registered, anyway, i have seen replays and tryed myself, it is not hard, you just build couple of czars
see, i just played this mission for the second time. Got 80 mins into it before accidentally managing to nuke myself, so I gave up and cried instead. I'm not good at video games.
(I play RTS since dune 2, not a pro btw) I played the original supreme commander for some times, years ago. Wanted to test that version recently, just wanna say that the first mission is savage. I really do not think that's an indicator that you suck. We should just learn the controls and persevere.
This is one of the stupid things of standalone *expansions*.. People really seem confused on what to buy since the main game isnt even in the stores anymore...

erm sorry to say but i agree to dat dude, the 1st missonon hard.. i make that in about 30mins at top. the biggest bitch is the 5ths in my eyes. very slow start etc
setting your game to +2 and calling it a speedrun at minute 32. How worse can it be. Not mentionig the massive mass overflow at the start and during the game
