It is crystal clear to everybody that the CJI of India is oblivious of the fact that we are now an independent country. What used to be considered judicial principle during british rule does not hold true now. The CJI should be faithful to the larger interest . Instead he is acting for the interest of a few high and mighty ,who have defiled their position depriving millions of hapless young persons. CJI has acted as advocate in attendance like Abhisek Manu Singhvi.
SC's recent activities are far away from basic need of judiciary. We had seen the actions of SC towards HC orders are frequently being given fresh lease of life to the crimes. Specific dates for hearing of several important cases from WB (e.g DA) are being again and again given revised to delay cases. Where as these recent cases are being taken as top priorities to be heared! Why???
This presentation is ill informed to say the least. Have your correspondents bothered to listen to the interview. Abhishek banerjee had personally attached judges during a public meeting. Justice Ganguly mentioned in his interview that had it fallen within his determination, he would have issued a rule against Abhishek Banerjee seeking his personal appearance. There was no appearance of any bias against Abhishek Banerjee. It is also true that the SC and HC are independent in their sphere of operation. The CJI cannot interfere into the HC's case administration. The news presenter is a self proclaimed supporter of TMC and her bias seems to have found its way into this reporting. To uphold it's credibility, Livelaw is requested to withdraw the presentation and offer a more nuanced perspective of the issue.

He said he cannot comment on cases that are ongoing! He speaks more to the functioning of the judiciary on the whole - and the initiatives taken by them. He is very clear that he will not comment on ongoing cases in the Supreme Court or cases listed in front of any other Court in India or judgements passed by other courts in India.
He did mentioned his opinion on same sex marriage.. I have listened to the interview..seems he had some specific opinion..he did not rejected to comment saying it's under trial when asked by the interviewer..
Some experts says that Hight court is not a subordinate of Supreme court. Supreme court has no power to direct which judge will listen which case at high court . Only chief judge of high court can decide that . An appeal can be made to supreme court challenging any order of the high court. Still there is doubt whether the supreme court can pass such order against justice Ganguly as per our Constitution

Mr Abhijit Ganguly, Hon'ble J.of C.HC. failed to show any patience before giving his directions upon SCRG for sending the transcript copies of his own interviews given to ABP Tv channel at his chamber with in 12.15 am on the same day immediately just after passing the Order of Hon'ble Div Bench of SC led by CJI breaking all judiciary deciplines himself.All such publicly attracted super- imotional like activity should never be accepted or to be done with in the judicial arena so far.
