I like this Niv because it pushes you to make your 5 color deck something slightly more than the best card in every color while not drawing you Atraxa amounts of cards like the last 5 color Niv.
The omnath matchup in a weird way showcased one of the few weaknesses of a card like Courser of Kruphix. You always knew what they were drawing, and constantly got to plan around everything they might be doijng. Was really cool and fun to watch
Honestly I love to play against Courser and Oracle of Mul Daya, to a less extent. That free information is worth quite a bit for reactive decks like this one.
I run Oracle of Mul Daya in my Muldrotha deck and am baffled at how many times people prioritize killing it over other more impactful creatures/cards. I let those cards sit for a bit.
I really like the invasion of ravnica in this deck. The flip side is insane with Niv. Whenever you jump start you get a card to replace the card you discarded.
I like sultry voiced Justin here. But really I hope you feel better soon. This Niv really feels like it should have been during the block that jump-start was introduced. Also smart man for playing one of each basic.
Unlike the rest of the Niv Mizzets, this one feels like I don't care losing to or winning with, because eventually it's a lower-power Lier being both 5c and discard in addition to mana cost.
11:08 I still don’t understand how in real life stalling the clock is a punishable offense, but in the official WOTC app it’s an every game occurrence. They really need a report system to get these unsportsmanlike players banned.
I’ve always absolutely loved your content from various sources and whatnot and I coincidentally took a step back from a few things myself when you did a few years ago. Long story short you are such a good deck builder and I sorta just decided to dip my toes back in and I rediscovered commander and your content again and it’s been a fun and wild ride. You’re still an inspiration, my dude.
