An ugly spike covered monster shoots a Human, Turian, and a Krogen The Human yells “I need a medic” The Krogan charges head first at the shooter And the Turian yells “Friendly fire”
I didn't like Wrex when I first played, but as time has gone on, Wrex really has proven himself to be an incredible character for me, I almost want to play the game from beginning to end just for Wrex to be in my party :p
To be honest, while I believe Shep, Tali, and Garrus are the holy trio, Shep, Garrus, and Wrex are the original trio; Disregarding the Virmire survivor, because f them.
The Reapers ask them, "So which one of you would like to be harvested first?" The Turian says, "Take the Krogan first." The Krogan says, "I am Krogan." and charges the Reapers. The Human says to the Turian, "Well you think we should go cure the Krogans and get more of these guys to do this the Reapers?" The Turian says, "Absolutely."
You'd have to destroy the gebephage cure that Maelon created in ME2, as well as destroying the base on Virmire in ME1 to experience the "Angry Wrex" dialogue
"I know another race that doesn't believe in mercy; They're called Reapers. Maybe you'd like to go work for them instead?" Garrus Vakarian delivering the verbal skewering of the millennium
I always take Garrus and Liara on this mission, because when you see the Yahg escape captivity the boys are like “Watch out! There goes the next Shadow Broker.” “Could’ve sworn I heard it muttering ‘T’Soni, T’Soni’.”
I always choose to save the data for the cure, even when I'm playing renegade. I can't help but feel that I owe it to Wrex for convincing him, to help me destroy the cure on Virmire.
To me it's more becuz first, Wrex's in charge, so there's hope for krogan to turn more civilized. & second, becuz those who suffered the experiments & eventually died volunteered (the krogans at least), instead of being forced to go through with it. i played my first ME2 game years ago, Wreav was in the one in charge, & i said fuck the data.
Yknow, i've grown to think it would be wise to hold the info about the sabotage until it's only you and mordin. You know, in order to not cause unnecessary grudge between wres and the salarians.
Well after the genophage gets cured he gets way more sex than he wants. If you ever got his scene at the bar in the Citadel DLC he says he had so many women lined up outside his home that he had to escape by climbing out his own bathroom window. So much in fact he has to put ice on his quads to dull the pain.
"I prefer my Salarian liver served raw." Is one of the great Wrex quotes. Having Javik is great in this conversation. "It's true. It was a delicacy in my cycle." The reaction of the two Salarians is priceless.
"You'd think this is the kind of thing the Shadow Broker would've known about. Too bad I don't know him. ...Or her." Are we not going to talk about the fact that Wrex has an intelligence network strong enough that he knows the Shadow Broker's identity?
I'm guessing she told certain people at some point. Think it's fair to say she has priorities different from previous brokers, and would want to use her position to help those she cares about. Also, there's no way he could learn that on his own, and Liara didn't seem too shocked to hear that.
@@Urubu_de_terno Actually a lot of people still don't know. Like that one volus Barla Von who works for the Shadow Broker. Funny thing is in the third game he acts as if he knows more than you. Even funnier if you've slept with Liara
In the game? Never, cause shepard's the main character with plot armor. Realistically? Wrex would crush any human, including shepard, to dust. Maybe jack would stand a chance, but even that is uncertain.
What i love about this series is that all the support characters are very deep and you actually feel like they are their own people. They talk to each other and have their own dialogue with one another which brings them to life.
SuperEhat RIGHT??? RIGHT??? He's freakin' awesome!! Like just "Yo' U tryna mess wit Shepard? Bitch, U dead alredy..." :D and at 6:14? Better don't mess with Javik... he'll gut you like a Salarian!
HK-47: Statement: For a meatbag the frog/lizard is fairly durable. More of a meatboulder. Incineration and evisceration would take time. But I am open and willing to perform the task. Wrex: Just try it metal mouth. This hump is packing more than just redundant organs. It might be more Krogan than you can handle. HK-47: Appreciation: Good, then I can send some home to your family in a package when I'm through with the rest. Supplication: Do you think we can go to Tuchunka when this is done? I hear your species puts up quite the fight. I'd be more than willing to test that rumor against those of the mandalorians.
Its all good, I know a lot of people like Garrus and I like him too. But I just don't like the way Bioware wrote him as your best bro no matter what you do. I think Tali is more interesting than him and I like Kaiden and Ashley more than Garrus as well. I prefer characters that tend to change based on your actions or in-actions. Garrus barely does that. Hey at least you don't have Liara. I can't stand her for the life of me.
sbn4 I agree on that, there is absolutely no way you can make him say, "Go away you're an ass." Instead of, "Can it wait for a bit? I'm in the middle of some calibrations."
I always romance Tali anyway - but damn - Liara is realy adorable in her conversations with Wrex. She improved so much from ME1 where she was more anoying than cute.
Liara is pretty good in ME2 already. However, I would never date an asari. (Unless Im playing female because she has no real candidate other than Samantha
@@gdw3112 Garrus is a terrible romance imo. In ME2 hes just a fling really. I dont even count that as a romance only the Citadel DLC adds something to it but still.... I dont feel attraction there one bit. Hes a good bro, great oneliners (lines around the board actually) but hes simply not a LI material imo.
@@Dark_Voice is thst opinion based on being heterosexual? You honestly sound like the only reason you have is because you don't like guys. Which is fine I'm just curious
@@coletrainhetrick Its not, just the guys dont seem to be doing much for me (those selected for romance). I would rather romance Wrex or Grunt hell even Anderson is someone I would pursue despite being much older Lets do a recap of guys: 1) Garrus (ugly renegade that seems more like a good bro that wants friendship with benefits than relationship) 2) Thane (whos pretty much dead man walking, interesting but relationship with him is essentially good for Goldigger but ThanE has no gold to dig So literally its more like set up yourself for getting hurt) 3) Kaiden (aka Mr. Boring - apart from one playthrough with male and one with female shepard where I romanced him and for Barrier skill in ME3 he always gets nuked on Virmire because Ashley is just way better imo 4) Jacob (aka Mr. Boring squared who will also cheat on you later on) 5) Cortez (seems more like a token gay romance option than anything I would actually believe) The men simply are not all that great people in terms of romance. Although for female I literally didnt romance anyone throughout the 3 games and later when I said to myself that I have to choose for fem shep, it was Liara who was my choice. EXTRA: Mass effect andromeda - the only male choice for female Ryder is LIAM who is literally pain in the butt throughout the game AND I would throw him out of the airlock if I could (joke, but I would probably wanna restrict his access to databases, codes etc. so that he cant mess up because I would trust Conrad Verner to keep my secrets more than him) First guy that I actually liked dating was Jaal because I found him to be a good character and felt that it could work (still though, prefer Suvi romance over him when female and Cora when male). I think it seems like its more developer's fault really because they are super careful about the female characters that are romanced and kinda forget about the male characters. It often seems like the male romance options are an afterthought, not something they would focus on and it shows. When you look at the females that are romanceable ME1 - Liara, Ashley (Personally I dont like romancing Liara much because I find her to be not very interesting - which is kinda sad because she is imo the best fem shep romance AND Ashley is essentially "if you are nice to her = you wanna f*** her and its hard to escape it HOWEVER I like Ashley romance A LOT because of how much Ashley and Shep share and her poetry, sisters etc.) ME2 - here it starts to be evident when you have Miranda, Tali, Jack or Liara (again I dont like Tali romance at all, I dont like any quarian for that matter except for Kal'Reagar and Veetor, maybe ME3 Koris) WHERE all 4 romances are totally different people and you can pick and choose which fits for you and you almost always get someone - you want a clingy cliche anime waifu? TALI; you want deep emotional connection with somebody that you have to win the truth from? JACK; you want a fangirl that is obsessed with you willing to do anything for you (and unlike Tali not being worthless)? LIARA; you want a partner that is very capable of living on her own (relationship where you feel like 2 entities that share liking in one another but can get away from each other and then return back) with trust that has to be earned (until then you will stare at her "stricktly business" facade)? MIRANDA => those women seem simply a much better palette of choices than what the guys offer with one deadman, one cheater, another willing to "relax" and more into calibrations ME3 - Ashley, Liara, Tali who are really nice in ME3 (especially for those actually enjoying Tali or Liara - they seem to be at their best in ME3) whereas Ashley was downgraded for eye candy with little purpose really and of course cameo romances of Jack and Miranda (which I still like more than anything the guys are capable off - and those 2 have literally only minutes of screen time, maybe Miranda more) SO, all in all. Its not about me not liking guys but it seems like the women are more focused on in terms of actually having to have a personality, backstory etc. while guys are just whatever.
Holy shit, Wrexs comment about Asari. Damn! this whole video lol I always go full paragon, this just sparked some Curiousity lol Aww Liaras still the best. Love Liara!
Thinking about this whole scenario when choosing to destroy Maelon's data, it doesn't really make a whole lot of sense to do that. I played as renegade but still decided to hold on to the data because it's better to have the information and not need it than outright destroy the data and actually need it. I love watching all these scenarios.
Oh... I see. Just imagine the human face that would have been put up XD Mass Effect, how I cry about saving up for a system that can pull Adromeda with minimun lag T.T.
Ok, i love these videos because they give the kind of perspective you can't in a single playthrough but quick question. 1:19 How did you get kaiden on sur'kesh?
My top 3 crewmates: Tali, cause she is too adorable. Garrus, cause the dude is too awesome for his own good. And Wrex, for his personality, and his smoldering good looks. XD
To be fair, when I played Paragon, I destroyed Maelon's data becase it was obtained by Maelon by commiting crimes. It would be unethical to keep the data. Like when the USA gave a pardon to all members of Unit 731 after World War 2 on the condition they got to keep all the medical data they obtained by torturing and performing experiments on chinese POWs against their will. It is unethical to use data that was obtained in an unethical way.
I think it's not a black-or-white question. Of course it sends a horrible message of acceptance when you keep and use data which was obtained in an unethical way. But this data can sometimes help saving lifes. Eve said she would undergo Maelon's procedures again for the result even though she lost many sisters. Mordin agreed saving the data was a good thing because he had something to build on. In another context, Garrus said if one turian is left standing in the end, then the fight was worth it. Suffering should never be above all and it also shouldn't be in vain. We cannot change was happened in the past. All we can do is try to put this sort of data to use for making the world better and set new, ethical standards for future research.
science isn't about what is wrong or correct, results are results, even mistakes are valuable assets for progress you will surprise how many vaccines that today save millions of lives had a really dark past.
Wrex and I share the exact same thoughts on Javik. He's such a generic weirdo planted in Mass Effect. Same thing with Javik in Andromeda. Like the what's the point of adding these odd aliens that belong rather in Avatar than Mass Effect other then to cater Call Of Duty and Battlefield fanboys to come and play Mass Effect 3 & Andromeda? Javik & Jaal are both so stern and annoying. Their "leaderships" suck. "Sometimes I don't know whether the Normandy is a traveling freakshow or a warship." "Sometimes I don't know whether the Tempest is a traveling freakshow or a warship.". Hilarious. Hopefully ME4 won't have any too strange and eccentric individuals. Otherwise I might lose my faith in BioWare completely. Let's hope the writers are in their top gear for the new title. Javik & Jaal and maybe James are basically "the tough guys" squad mates even though they are not interesting or clever in any way other than their own stupidity and madness. James is at least just some military grunt. Javik & Jaal are wannabe cool persons.
(On the ship) Me: - Don't worry big guy, we'll save your girls. Wrex: - And who are you? Me: - The most charming man on the Normandy. Wrex: - Only because I'm not there anymore. (If Melan's data is destroyed) Me: - Come on big guy, Shepard is on your side now. Wrex: - Is he?! (About Salarian "food") Me: - Uh, I think I'm going to be sick. (About Tuchanka) Me: - You're tough, big guy. Remind me not to cross you. Wrex: - The reminder is right on my face. (About females) Me: - Oh, I'm glad my mother wasn't a krogan. (About rachni) Me: - My grandfather told me about the war against the rachni, you big guys did well back there. Wrex: - And they rewarded us with Genofage. Me: - Well...yeah. (Wrex threatens Shepard) Me: - Don't, big guy, we're all friends here. Wrex: - Friends don't try to make your race disappear forever. (Wreav about Asari) Me: - Liara would've "liked" hearing that. (Wreav being arrogant) Me: - Is that an arrogance or stupidity? Wreav: - Don't push me, human. (Tolan about mercy for krogans) Me: - I wish I could infect your people with Genofage... Tolan: - Would be stupid to do it. Me: - But it would felt good.
I like how krogans go "we saved you and you tried to kill us off". Yeah, disregard the part where you invaded asari planets and were determined to commit yet another genocide.
