Al-Fatiha is also known by several other names, such as Al-Hamd (The Praise), As-Salah (The Prayer), Umm al-Kitab (Mother of the Book), Umm al-Quran (Mother of the Quran), Sab'a min al-Mathani (Seven Repeated Ones, from Quran 15:87), and Ash-Shifa' (The Cure).
Hadith :
One of the Hadiths related to Surah Al-Fatiha is narrated by Abu Huraira (RA). The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said, "Allah the Exalted said, 'I have divided the prayer (Surah Al-Fatiha) into two halves between Me and My servant, and My servant shall have what he asks for.' When the servant says, 'All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all worlds,' Allah says, 'My servant has praised Me.' When the servant says, 'The Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate,' Allah says, 'My servant has extolled Me.' When the servant says, 'Master of the Day of Judgment,' Allah says, 'My servant has glorified Me.' When the servant says, 'You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help,' Allah says, 'This is between Me and My servant, and My servant shall have what he requested.' When the servant says, 'Guide us to the Straight Path, the path of those upon whom You have bestowed favors, not of those against whom You are angry, nor of those who are astray,' Allah says, 'This is for My servant, and My servant shall have what he asked for.'"
