➖Imam Al-Kisaa'ee was the head of recitation in Al-Kufah, Iraq, after the death of Imam Hamzah.
➖When he was asked why he was called Al-Kisaa'ee, he said it was because he used to carry a burlap [or a similar] bag for ihraam.
➖He died in 189 A.H. after living for 70 years.
➖His two narrators are Abu Al-Haarith and Ad-Dooree.
➖Ad-Doori was the imam of the recitors in his time and is the first one to accumulate all the different qira’aat.
➖He was born in the year 150 A.H. in Ad-Dur, which is located close to Baghdad.
➖He died in the year 246, may Allah be merciful to him.
