Surah At-Tawbah (The Repentance)
At-Tawbah (Arabic: ٱلتَّوْبَة) is the ninth chapter (Surah) of the Quran consisting of 129 verses. The basic subjects of the Surah are: The non-believers who broke their treaties, Muslims have no obligation to honor treaties with them. Muslims must protect themselves from hypocrisy, weak faith and negligence. Battle of Tabuk and its lessons.
It is the only Surah of the Quran that does not begin with Bismillah. It deals with almost the same topics as those dealt with in Surah al-Anfal. It is the only Surah in the Qur'an which does not begin with the usual opening formula, In the name of God, the All-Merciful, the All-Compassionate. In contrast to all other Surahs, prophet Muhammad, did not order that this formula should be put at the beginning of this Surah.
