Kristen and Michael both met in high school where sparks almost instantly went off for the both of them. It took a few hang outs for them to eventually get together alone at a gathering after school one day. When Michael finally built up the courage to ask Kristen to be his girlfriend, she definitively responded with, "Sure." According to Kristen, she didn't want to sound too eager. To this day, Michael has never forgotten about that and made sure to get a "Yes" when he proposed.
