My documentation says have a 1215-200, I am going to dig into the van and eyeball my isolator. I have the nations 270xp dedicated alternator setup. I want to switch from AGM to Lithium and an exploring the path. From what I have read I will need to incorporate a regulator. That is my current hurdle. I cant thank you enough for providing the diagrams, they have provided clarity to my system and a foundation to tracing out all my connections.
When you say nations 270xp dedicated alternator, do you mean dedicated to the house battery only? Essentially a stock alternator covering the van, and a second independent alternator (270xp) covering the house battery systems? In that case the Surepower is kind of a moot item. If you do have a independent alternator and are switching to Lithium, then yes, you should get an external regulator to control the alternator. A Balmar MC-618-H or a Wakepeed WS 500 are two good choices. I currently run Wakespeed WS 500 on my Transit
@@gregoryscalfaro7368 The 270xp is dedicated to the House Batteries. LOL I just spent this morning removing the Drivers seat and searching for the isolator as described in my SMB manual and did not find it. The alternator is direct connected to the battery bank and charger. Well thats another update to my schematics! Now I am getting somewhere!! Now it looks like I just need a regulator and batteries. The in-line fuses labeled "7.5 amps to alternator" and "5amps to Alternator ignition must be part of the 270XP installation. Thats the only thing I found under the Drivers seat of my Sprinter 3500. Sorry didnt mean to draw this out so much, but I am on a roll.
I think you have your diagram mixed up. At 2:20, it shows House Battery and Starting Battery connections. From the label at the front of the "smarts" unit, it reads as if AUX (House) should be the left terminal (Green in your picture) , and the MAIN (Starting) would be the right terminal (blue in your picture). Am I confused about the denominations? Or did you mix it up (it's confusing because the label on the front of the module is 'mirror' image when looking at the unit. e.g. you are looking at the label as if you are looking from the rear of the unit. )
Bruh... I tried to follow this wire schematic... must have crossed a wire up or something because when I hooked up the green wire the back of my van caught fire and touched off gas cans and propane tanks...RIP van!😢
