Yes i have done alot of fishing for Mulloway and you sure have to put the hours in to get a result they dont come easy very often and there is no doubt that commercial fisherman have had a impact on the stocks and as well as many other fish species.

all my jewfish fishing is done off headlands with beach either side or beach n estuary either side in the far north of NSW n southern QLD using 7in to 10in soft paddle tails, mainly white. working the paddle tails in the gaps of the headland in the white water or sandy bottom coming into the headlands. rod seajigger 108H. reel saltist MQ 8000. best so far 138cm. keep these vids coming lads.

Liked the simplicity of the rig and the fact that the braid connection does not involve an FG knot. Uni knots whether single or double rarely fail if tied carefully and correctly and most importantly can be tied in the field with wet cold hands!
@DaiwaAustralia
@DaiwaAustralia 16 дней назад
Simplicity is often overlooked when rigging for sure. These rigs are definitely proven in the field and will seldom let you down.
@user-wg1ps3li9r

Most people tie fg knots so there finger doesn’t get sliced by the braid and is a lot more comfortable to cast with leader than braid
@franksaunders6534

@fishmut
@fishmut 15 дней назад
For the Mulloway fishing , it was mentioned not having light on the water as it puts them off . The biggest light of all is the full moon wouldn’t you say , now you know why the full moon wasn’t in his favour for the Mulloway fishing , yes light is ok for some species but Mulloway is a bit finicky…..no light on the water as said. People need to pat attention when watching videos lol

@@fishmut why you so rude to everyone man how about you make your own videos since you know so much about fishing your name is fishmut how immature are you is your whole life just about fishing that you had to name you RU-vid account after it and don’t even post how about you get out of the RU-vid comments and leave the petty and rude comments out and stop being so toxic not everyone is an expert and some people are beginners or just casually fish plus not everyone has time to watch the full RU-vid and fully take in everything he says as he explains alot of useful information. Do better dude

I wish i bought the 1503xh instead of the 1302H sensor surf, struggling with casting larger sinkers and the store does not offer change of mind although it’s not fit for purpose when I was sold it, can Daiwa Australia help out a hard out daiwa fan with a swap? Sydney based

Have always been a Daiwa fan and as such am interested if you can tell me why the first and second stripping guides on the Seajigger 1042 M rod are opposite set to each other….I mean, the guides have three “arms” and the first two guides they are set in reverse of each other. I know this may be a bit pedantic but looking at these mess with my OCD….LOL! Certainly looks the goods for a light lure tossing rod for sure.
@davidphan9434
@davidphan9434 14 дней назад
They are set in reverse to minimise guide wrap with the line when coming off the spool. This method has been used for many years and by many brands/rod builders. completely normal :D
@Mark-ew5jm
@Mark-ew5jm 14 дней назад
Thanks David…..there are so many different guide configurations out there now and I must admit I had never really noticed that configuration before. Thanks for the clarification.
@DaiwaAustralia
@DaiwaAustralia 14 дней назад
We run many different configurations of guides depending on the style and function of the rods. The idea behind the reverse stripper guide is it minimise tangles and line slap on the guide frame as it flys off the reel. The Seajigger's all have a small diameter stripper guide in comparison to other rods. The first guides function is to choke the line and stop spinning through the to others toward the tip. This allows the line to rifle through the rest of the guides and give you optimal casting distances.
@Mark-ew5jm
@Mark-ew5jm 14 дней назад
@@DaiwaAustralia …. I can understand what you are saying about “line slap” and minimising tangles but I have never experienced these prior on any Daiwa rods that I own…..I don’t know about the mechanics of the design of the Seajigger, but it is more the lack of symmetry and aesthetic of that particular rod which is why I asked the question. I still use two Daiwa two piece rods that are 42 years old now….I broke a tip section off one so I decided to shorten the top section further of both rods and make them nibble tips…..my go to when bait fishing for both estuarine and freshwater species. Thanks for the feedback.
