So the wife and I were shore fishing at Mexico Beach. Had the pompano rig with a crab and a shrimp. Only thing I caught was a bonnethead shark and that's only because it snagged itself. Still a great day.

That was an awesome workout running from rod to rod and you have caught some nice pompanos. As soon as you started fighting the stingray, I knew it was a stingray. They just lay on the bottom like a ton of bricks and you can only move them with the waves. Great job! Let the adventure continue.

I wasn’t a 100% sure that it was a ray because I could feel it flapping the wing. I figured a ray but at points thought a really lazy big ugly. Still ended up being a fun fight though. Thanks so much for the kind words and support! Tight lines ❤️🎣

Whitings have been harder to come by this winter here in Pensacola. We had better luck last spring/summer. A good video to watch on the channel would be “Girl Catches Monster While Surf fishing Pompano”. There’s also another called “Girl Enters Largest Pompano Tournament in Florida”. Hope you enjoy!
