Bought this reel before the 2019 season started and fished it good. Has a lot of good features, no extreme negatives that I saw, just a few minor things that bugged me. If you were on the edge about buying this reel I hope this will help you in your decision making process during the off season!

Have used 25 V7500 spinfishers on our charter boat for the past 9 years, 890 charter days. The only thing we have had to replace is bail arms, and bail arm springs, the rest is still going strong, unbelievable reels for chartering. Had we had this unavailable here bailless model, we would have needed zero service

I just picked up the 4500 Bailless. I wasn't aware of the rotor coming around like that. But I have heard of people inserting more grease to the Rotar for it not to spin. Give it a try. I will on my next trip to the surf. I'll keep you updated.

Great video dude and as much as I’m a VS guy I’m also a spinfisher guy , Penn did an incredible job on those reels I put mine up against my staals any day unless I’m in really extreme conditions

Awesome thank you! Yeah I think it's a great introductory to Bailess sorta reel. It definitely holds it's own if you take care of it!

@@SaltyMcFogg that’s the name of the game man , taking care of your gear . I’ve had my spinfisher submerged a few times not intentionally but afterwards I went through it cleaned it up well and had no problem with it

If you wash/rinse your reels down after every use they won't corrode. I've dunked plenty of Penns, much older ones, rinsed them at the end of the day.....No issues.

I did that to mine as well, but it still corroded in the gears.
