@@salteastsimon where’s at good spot for Sheepshead at topsail? We tried the bridge coming in to surf city and near by docks. No luck at all. Not sure if it’s the temperature.
@@radigass it depends on tidal flow and the temperature. It should start picking up from what ive heard . Especially now that the temp is starting to drop
We are going to North Topsail this weekend (7/30/22). I've only ever fished fresh water. Can I get by with my bass gear for shore fishing? Any baits you recommend?
A topwater minnow works great. But diamond jigs and spoons are the easiest to work through the surf waves. I use alot of bass gear. Make sure its atleast a medium heavy power fast action rod you bring. I always bring fishgum and shrimp with 1/0 circle hooks and make my own double drop rig if the bite is slow and bring one pole holder for when you get tired
Wish i had known you were going to be there. I would have met up with you and maybe got you on some different fish. All I caught was blues and pomps all weekend. Clam fishbites was the trick with all the cocinas in the surf.
@@salteastsimon I feel your pain. That circle is a nightmare and it's only getting worse with all the houses they are building. They're going to have to put a bridge in down at the south end before long.
