Ok so I just got this rod and I wanted to ask your opinion. I have to decide between a Daiwa Fuego 2500xh, a Penn Spinfisher VI 3500, a Penn Battle 4000 and a Penn Spinfisher 4500 bailess. I'll be using it almost exactly like you're describing in extreme South Jersey and Delaware. The Battle Is the oldest and heaviest at 12.6 oz and not "waterproof" so it's kinda out. Any suggestions?

Great job! Tsunami seems to consistently over deliver, even their entry level rods are a great start or reliable back up.

This rod doesn't seem well suited to your friend's casting style. He's got a short, punchy stroke and the tip kind of collapses on him. This fits your casting style much better because you load the blank more deeply and gradually.
