Also, I'm assuming that you're watching this video because you want to know a little bit more about the Surface Book 2 and the pen experience while you wait for your unit to arrive or before buying a Surface Book 2 yourself (or something of the sort). If you're not here with that kind of mindset, this video probably isn't for you―even if you're only watching this video for your entertainment. You might get bored; it's literally all just me talking about why the Surface Pen + SB2 combo is pretty rad.
two questions 1. can you lock the screen so it doesnt flip when u turn it? like you can on iphone 2. can you have two windows open for example watching a video while taking notes? if you adjust the window size
For ya'll trying to find out, I got one myself and tested it. I got no palm rejection issues at all with the new pen. Writing on the surface was a good experience (second to writing on paper). This is now my replacement notebook and finally a new laptop to do work outside of home.
@@minami_uuu I didn't even know there was a switch. From my experience using it to take notes, it automatically rejects palm inputs when the pen is detected hovering and/or touching the screen.
great video! subscribed. very well produced but i think the second half of the video was a little repetitive on things you've already went through (e.g. awkwardness) and your positive thoughts in general. hope the next one will be a little more concise :)
Hello! Thank you so much for your helpful feedback! I totally agree with you about how the second half of the video had a lot of repetitive information. I just took some notes about your feedback, and now I think I've got a better way of reviewing my content more effectively for unnecessary information that can be removed. Hopefully some improvement in my content creation skills will show in my upcoming video! :D
How is the Latency of New Surface Pro Pen, is it as good as Apple Pen even fist generation? I had Surface Pro 4, the Pen did not give me the feeling of writing on a paper while taking a note or writing on a PDF file.
Nice quality video, but it feels too much like a sponsored content. Maybe be a bit more critical about the pen and what is lacking if you know what i mean. Besides that, i have the SB2 with the pen and love it. But it is not perfect
People People , it is not yet fully integrated into illustrator and photoshop. The tilt control for example is not recognized in illustrator, the eraser as well, there is workaround but I would like to have it working out of the box.
Hey! Thanks for the comment! You make some really good observations in the conversation you had with this other RU-vidr. And also, thank you a ton for the feedback; I've taken notes on what you said and I'll be sure to qualify the content in my future tech videos better. I just wanted to put here that this video isn't sponsored. In fact, none of my videos are sponsored. I always buy my own tech, and if I feel like making videos on them, then I do that if I feel like it. 😂 Thanks for understanding! I just wanted to contribute to the conversation that came up here. Actually, Surface accessories are indeed integrated into Illustrator and Photoshop (as I've come to notice through my use), BUT Surface-specific tools (unless it's the Surface Dial in Photoshop) are NOT enabled by default. These preferences and settings can be tweaked in these programs' brush settings and hardware preferences panels. And the support for Surface accessories is much better on Adobe CC 2019. Not so much on 2018, really. But regardless of these features being there, you absolutely are right: Surface Pen integration across other Windows applications are not fully established yet, and it's quite annoying. I love my SB2 and the Surface Pen I use with it, but the experience would be so much better if Windows 10 was a more fully-developed OS and if developing for Surface accessories were much more easily accessible by third-party developers that don't build apps in the Universal Windows Platform. Thank you again for the comment, and thank you for watching!! :D
Hey! Great question! The backpack I'm using in this video is the Kensington LM150. It's for 15" laptops and 10" tablets. I regularly use this backpack, so if you have any specific questions about this backpack, I think I can answer them in great detail. Thanks for watching! :D
HELP please. I would be able to buy surface book 2 i7 really cheap but with 8gb of ram. Is it enough?! i edit large raw files on photoshop+use chrome and sometimes illustrator at the same time
Please don’t buy any surface products, software has many issues, they update it regularly, whenever new updates comes the system fails in many other hardware things...for me in last update and the keyboard and mouse stopped working...customer service is worst. Doesn’t worth the money we pay to those people!!
BUT WHY DOSE IT ONLY HAVE 1 BARREL BUTTON AAHHGG SJKFHKSJHFKJSH it was such an obvious choice whyyy they have to do thiiss its soo stupid i NEED THAT EXTRA FUCKING BUTTON OMG
i was thinking about buying an apple device (an ipad pro with the apple pencil) but i'm still hesitant , given that all my other devices work on windows or android , i'm worried about having troubles synchronizing everything , do you think this would be an issue ?
@@romaissakolli121 Yes, i have a Macbook Pro 2019 as well as an Ipad Pro 12.9 2019, i have been looking for a solution to sync and have my emails on both devices but still no way as i have POP3 service not IMAP. I still do not know if there is any IOS app which can read .OLM or MBOX. Damn apple but i cannot stop working with it.
