one more tip i think you have missed is cast beyond the feeding fish and slowly retrieve your controller float and hookbait into the feeding fish 👌

I can never understand why people make the hook link so long. Nine times out of 10 the carp will come up and start at the float. I use Fox bubble floats and quite often have a hook link between 12 inches right down to 6 inches and the carp are not spooked at all.

The smaller size lets me carry more in my tackle box, and the 3 color choices are nice for different lighting conditions, backgrounds, etc. They aren't the most durable things in the world. But, as cheap as they are, it's not heartbreaking to lose one or have to replace a worn one. The price on these fluctuates wildly, from about $9 to almost $16. So, time your buy accordingly.
