G'day viewers! In this weeks' episode, I jump on my kayak in chase of top water bream in West Lakes. Fishing with surface lures would have to be one of my all time favourite ways of fishing, and in this video, you can see why!

Hi Tom good video mate ,,,,,,,,how do rig up the stinger hooks on the sugarpen lures and do the work any good I'm trying to get back into fishing again after my motor bike accident 12 years ago and I lost my memory now I need to try to learn how to fish again it's not good,,, oh we'll I'm still alive and kicking ,,,

I’m sorry to hear, Peter! Glad to hear you are getting back into fishing! Everyone has different ways, one of the more popular methods would be to rig a small treble at the front and a stinger pair at the back of the lure. However, you can also rig them with just the single stinger in the back of the hook. Either way works, however I have had a much better hookup rate on a dual stinger

Hey mate! I can't say I've exactly tried to be honest with you. However, they are caught quite regularly in the summer time on surface!

Hey mate, I’m new here but love my bream fishing and surface fishing aswell! I was wondering what colour and size u would recommend for bream. I mainly use surface lures in the hills chasing Redfin, heaps of fun too!

Hey mate! My all time favourite surface lure for bream would have to be the Zibpaits Skinny Pop Jr in the lime Green colour. It gives off the 'best of both worlds' with a cup face priducing a splash and a slim profile, similar to a little surface stickbait. Sportfishing Scene at Cavan have a huge range of lures to choose from!

Great vid Tom! Used to love fishing that place but some of the old boys would throw rocks and stuff at you for fishing their pontoons. Killed it for me. Good to see it still fishing.

Cheers dude! Im using a Tamar Yak, good length to it and quite s table as well. Great for the price!
