Love this, very helpful. I'm in the process pitching to an art director, he already likes my work. He just wants to see some of my seasonal designs. So shall I show anything else other than the process...

Wow, this video was incredibly helpful. More info than I’ve received from some very expensive courses. 😅 How are you typically paid for freelance work? Is it hourly or a one time fee? And do you retain the rights to the work or does the company? Thank you!

Glad it was helpful! I do a combination, different for each client. I definitely lean towards flat fee, but sometimes I do charge hourly depending on project and situation. The companies mainly get the rights as they are usually the ones directing the creative briefs so it's their concept to some degree, but there can be flexibility in contracts, for example, I stipulate that I can use the art in my portfolio even if I can't resell it again, so at least it shows off my skills to other clients.
