Installing FCS 2 fin boxes followed by a clear lamination with 4oz fiberglass cloth and polyester resin. I used the Terry Senate Fin Marker for fin placement, the FCS 2 router jig, FCS router bit and a variable speed router to cut out the fin cavities. I used the FCS 2 dummy fins to tape the fin boxes in place with the correct fin cant angle. Fin boxes were installed with polyester resin and cabosil.
This board was shaped by Timmy Patterson at the 2021 Boardroom Show Icons of Foam surfboard shaping competition. The board is a replica of Pat Rawson’s iconic snapback pipeline gun ridden by Tom Carroll in the 1991 Pipeline Masters surfing competition. Tom Carroll did the famous “snap heard around the world” on this board model. I was able to take this board home by purchasing tickets to the VIP dinner. I replicated the original airbrush design in a previous video.
