After sanding the deck and the rails, the board is ready for the fin boxes. On this board I use Future fin boxes (Single tab) and I'm doing a 5 fin set up for this model. Jeff takes measurements from one of my boards of similar dimensions and marks them out on the bottom of the board. once marked he routes out the depth of the box itself and the counter sink.
When all of the spaces have been routed out, the boxes get apoxyed in. The degree of the fins are at 3° for the toe in and when the dummy fins are put in. To hold the toe degree, they are taped in place to the board.
The board is about 85% done and I'm beyond stoked on how this is turning out. I'm learning so much about shaping and ding repairs on boards and small water craft made of foam. All that's left is Glassing the bottom with the graphics, Glassing the top with graphics, installing a leash plug, and then buffing out the glass. I hope you enjoy. I will link Jeff's website in this description.
