As someone who is usually top 2 if not top outright: I don’t care, I just want to get the raid done with. I rather flex mechanics knowledge than being able to click a button.
My favorite people are the ones that have the absolute most random things of all time, they get doubted, then they do best dmg or clear whatever activity far better than anyone. Shoutout to those guys
Possibly in the minority, but I LOVE the current "Still Hunt meta". Snipers have been irrelevant for far too long. Hand Cannon, Sniper, Machine Gun loadout is so satisfying
It’s not snipers being good that people have issue with. When we’re in a sniper meta, that’s when the meta is at its best. It’s the fact that only one class can really take advantage of it.
@@austin5801 Only one class had the OP add-clear + suspend build with Striga. Warlocks are also the only class that can really push Euphony to its limit, which has very similar damage output to Celestial Still Hunt loops but with far less player execution/rotation requirements. Titans are really the only class being left behind, but it seems like no one is happy if the Hunter does anything except play Invis Anchor/Invis Annoying Section, huh.
Hey! I see you're editing more clips of you using the build/explaining the mechanic you're describing. The editing is really well done, and it's probably going to be very helpful for newcomers. Keep up the amazing content!
Worth mentioning that even though the numbers in game may not reflect it, it does appear from the health bar on bosses that BnS does apply to the first rocket fired to proc it. Source for this was an older Aegis video.
Only other thing I'll bring up would be fitting Ruin into the build somewhere, as that will increase your damage with the transcendent grenades ever so slightly with the 12.5% increase to shatter damage. (I'd personally drop dominance as about the only time that's doing anything is after transcendence ends AND after you've thrown and used up the last smoke bomb transcendence gives you, making it more than likely not entirely worth while verses the shatter damage increase. but, also has to be a target that gets frozen and shatters, so there is that). Isolation isn't bad either for None witness boss fights, but yeah! Still insanely potent and your ability to pull off that combo on greg was awesome to see.
Just to add a little correction, bait an switch does apply on the first rocket, the numbers that appear on contact are not representative, it has being tested and the damage increase does apply to the first rocket but the numbers in the end screen showed that the buff was applied on the first rocket
@@Ace1da_GamingI don’t recall exactly who showed it, but i saw a video going over dps rotations recently (post TFS) and they mentioned that this is, in fact, true
Perfect vid for me. Hunter main. Been looking for a good hot swap for DPS and survivability. And thanks for explaining for rotation and subclass detail. Nice video
doing some napkin math based on the GoA Ogre rotation (4.04m) and factoring in getting off 3 cayde's retribution and the 25% celestial nerf (take off around 410.5k), that should end up around 3.64m damage. That puts it slightly ahead of the Warlock SES/Apotheosis rotation (3.4), and actually behind the Titan's Cloudstrike/Crux rotation (3.73) Updated with the 33% nerf numbers: Take off roughly 530k damage instead of 410k (accounting for the 3rd CR shot being lower damage than the first two) gives us appx 3.54mln damage, giving even more of an edge to Titan
I can’t believe I went from being a og titan main to seeing how bad they did the class and let the other 2 classes do everything better, I recently been playing warlock with Thorn, lightning surge, necrotic grips, and omg the poison build is amazing, I also run a song of flame, dragons breath, sniper build and get about 3million damage plus, devour on warlock is amazing, I been debating trying out hunter cause I really wanna enjoy being that guy to take off a bar on a boss… but idk how would I handle sustain ability and health
4:30 of course bait and switch isn’t gonna be proc’ed, you didn’t swap to primary to pop 1 shot off. Bait and switch works when you caused damage with each of your guns before swapping to apex. Both explosive light and bait and switch are good but it’s never gonna work unless you use your primary too
i feel like lowering the dmg on nighthawk would be fine, even if its the same total as not using it at all i feel like the value of a better rotation when combined with a rocket would still give some reason to use nighthawk still hunt without having it be so comparatively bad on the other classes
I've been using a variation of this with a Supremacy as the swap weapon for a while now, simply so I can use a Fixed Odds for ad-clear usually it is good enough obviously this setup is leaning harder towards boss dps
Is it confirmed that the first shot of a BnS rocket doesn’t have the buff? I heard a while ago that even if the damage number doesn’t indicate it, measure the health bar of enemies showed that it did have the buff. I could be wrong about that though
great video! definitely going to try out the rotation but just a quick question: do you prefer liar's handshake over the exotic class item with caliban's + liar/synthoceps because of the health regen? or would running the exotic cloak be more optimal?
@@scarfacerd7057 changing exotics / changing any armour or weapon shouldn't impact your super bar. I assume you're loadout swapping not manually changing piece to have this issue meaning the problem is you have different aspects or fragments somewhere. changing any aspect or fragment resets all your cooldowns to uncharged (melee, grenade, class ability, super). at least thats how im aware it works unless its changed.
@@scarfacerd7057 check if your aspects are the same order on both setups, maybe do the same for fragments. i know different ordered aspects are considered a change, not sure about fragments
does using multiple of the heavy handed and/or firepower mods make the cooldown between proc's of it shorter? i thought it just made the orb generated by it give more super energy
anybody have numbers on how effective Song of Flame with a demolitionist rocket is? i was wondering about this combination but haven't heard anything about it
@@Alckee6904 gotcha, yeah, that might make is less effective. could you shoot a rocket, throw nade, then do the incin snap? i feel like that is moving closer to 2.5 seconds. i'll have to time it later
it would be cool to have each class have a dps monster setup. Hunters being able to just 1shot anything that is in their way in GMs is a bit unfair, at least let the other classes have a equally busted "i win" button.
Man this is cool but my aim is trash I’ll stick for more consistent rotations with small crit bosses but for large crit like the witness I’ll 100% use this
@@LlamaD2 auto loading would be pointless since you said to use solar holster in video. One cheaper slot if you use harmonic holster if it matches your subclass. I have a good ET but it’s void. Does have envious bait n switch. Thank you sir. I believe xur has a solar RL in his inventory that might be decent
Man, surges were one of the only things that made raids continue to feel fun and exciting. Now it’ll just be the same 1 optimal loadout for any given activity. major L 😕
Euphany if your a warlock if no have pick your flavor of liniar for the witnesses right now or the heavy trace rifle Titans just make sad noises really
So basically, Fallout's video but with Smoke Bomb instead of Withering Blade. This is why I don't know why people need build videos. 90% of Destiny builds are just fill-in-the-blank exercises.
Because they aren't just removing surges, they're also retuning the numbers so that every gun, even Kinetic damage ones, will deal damage as if they had a surge active. Whether Bungie actually follows through on that remains to be seen.
In the newest episode of Fireteam Chat the Bungie dev (Ben) mentioned that internally they are heavily looking at titans. That’s good news. Maybe cope. But I’m hopeful
Pris Titan in particular needs a good looking over. While the collection of abilities they have is…nice none of them really synergize with each other. Plus the only real healing option it has is knockout which won’t exactly the best even after the change
Please Please PLEASE figure out and tell us what the best damage on warlock and titan would be specific to witness, i have absolutely no clue. much thanks if you do. keep up the great content :)
Warlock I would say cloudstrike nova with a reconstruction and explosive light crux termination if you don’t have crux use wendigo gl or apex predator as for titan that I’m not sure about yet
Really like showing the DPS rotation against the witness to see what it looks like. Showing the damage total at the end of the witness fight would be great, too
if u feel like getting dark transcendance is still awful i personally use lost signal/grapple in adclear build. U can get full dark transcendence in like 2 shots if ads dont move out of it but 5 shots is like a max
Can you test bastion (the gun) and peregrine greaves? I've tested it and I'm pretty sure it stacks, but I'm not entirely certain whether or not it's getting the full 100% damage buff due to hitting the damage cap. The timing is also extremely tight, since it takes 2.5 seconds to get the greaves buff and the buff from bastion only lasts 2.7 seconds.
I got a shiny Midnight Coup with shoot to loot/explosive payload & one for all/desperate measures during onslaught last season. So glad I'm not stuck with Vulpecula. Stellar guide, looking forward to using it!
pretty sure could be wrong but the rotation is better if right off the bat you shoot all 6 shots including the caydes shot then swap rocket then swap back shoot 1 then pop cayde like this cayde goldy shoot both then shoot the rest of your cayde mag swap rocket shoot twice swap back shoot 1 time and pop cayde
if you shoot a prismatic enemy without being actively prismatic yourself it boosts both light and dark metres significantly faster to enable you to activate your own prismatic. ;)
Do you have to throw the hailfire grenade at a certain spot on the witness for it to stick to him? Also, very off topic but what launch perk, mag and reload do you like on the call?
I just throw it at his general chest area, I think it's quite forgiving though. For the call I spec entirely into reload speed, so my Masterwork is Reload, launch is Quick Launch and my mag is Flared Magwell.
Love your videos Llama! Thanks for the great content. You’ve done the warlock comparison to Euphony, what are the best setups and rotations for Titan? (Bungo didn’t show them much love this season, so any advice would be appreciated)
Hey man what keeps healing you while the ogre is just unloading his attack you? Is it restoration? If so how does it stay active when you switch to dps class? Super cool vid. You got a like and a subscribe from me!
I dont get why people are crying about stillhunt nighthawk being so good when hunters are supposed to be the damage class they are finally the definitive dps class and titans and warlocks cant stop coping
They're just upset that The Witness fight doesn't need a Warlock or Titan to survive the DPS phase since it's based on movement to avoid damage instead of tanking it all. Even during his testing in that dungeon (which, remember that you deal more damage in Dungeons than in Raids) he was having a hard time staying on target while getting blasted by the Ogre eye laser. Not getting flinched in a fight that favors long-range precision weapons is basically the dream scenario for this setup.
