This was such a hard decision to make... We had booked a full luxury father and son weekend getaway to San Francisco. It was a total surprise for our oldest son Ryler. He's been fascinated with the videos of people flying First Class and I wanted to surprise him with a First Class trip of his own flying First Class for the first time to San Francisco. We were going to surprise him in the morning as he got ready for school and tell him he would be skipping school to fly first class for the first time for a luxury weekend getaway in San Francisco.
Then... the world turned upside down! Everything started getting cancelled, postponed, and called off. People were panicking all over the world and the number one thing on everyone's mind was travel. So we were faced with a hard choice to continue with our trip to San Francisco for the weekend and take out chances, or cancel our First Class flights on Delta last minute. Canceling a flight or changing travel plans right now is kind of crazy. But in the end we felt like it was not about us and our weekend of first class travel. It's about doing our part to help keep others safe. Without a doubt, the hardest part of all was telling our oldest son that a surprise first class trip to San Francisco for the weekend was canceled before he ever knew it was going to happen in the first place.
