If you ever have to move again, I recommend wrapping the kitchen glass in clothing, sheets, or towels! It's nice because you essentially pack and unpack two areas at the same time!

moving tip: pack your clothes in a suitcase so you know where they are and you can easily access them during your packing/unpacking process =)

A tip for moving plants is to wet paper towels, put them on top of the soil, then put tape over the paper towels and secure it onto the pot

Moving is always so chaotic, and stuff expands as soon as I try to pack it, every single time.

I love how she justifies feeling tough meanwhile saying that she got a bloody knee from crashing 😂😂

Adding on that if you ever need to move again, pack a suitcase like you're going on a trip so you have your necessities immediately available to you instead of being spread out in boxes!

So glad to see I'm not the only one who literally saves & low-key kinda hordes every plastic (or any other material for that matter)of bag or like storage thingy. Never know when they could come in handy. Thanks for the validation that I'm not alone in this reasoning. Also just another trait that makes you so relatable ❤

OMG!! Jenna I have started watching your videos religiously this week and I have fallen in love with your talent and Personality. I have always loved to crochet but watching you this week I have picked it up again and now have been non stop making things since- tysm!!

Pro moving tip: when you put the plates in the 📦, put them in vertically, not horizontally, then the weight of the plates doesn’t break the ones beneath! (don’t mind my crappy english, I live in the Netherlands:))

Right at this second I'm procrastinating packing my own house for my own move by watching you pack your house.

I've moved loads of times qnd one of the best hacks was packing a bag like you're going on holiday - you put clothes, toiletries and other essentials all into one bag so when you get to the new place you know where all your important stuff (like your phone charger) is. Also, write in marker on your box which room the box belongs in, or what stuff or category of stuff is in each box. This helps you when you're unpacking :)

When you asked "do you remember when I hung all this stuff up?" well yes actually I do because I discovered your channel last week so I actually saw you moving and decorating into this place like a few days ago 😂 Can't wait to see what your next place will look like and how you will be decorating it. I am impressed about how chaotic and efficient your packing is. I really hate organizing and packing so when we moved, it took me one month to make boxes but I took the opportunity to Marie Kondo my stuff and sold / gave to charity / trash many things I wasn't using anymore to be sure to pack only the essentials. But we still had so many boxes because we have books, loooooots of books (and it was a nightmare to pack).

Bitter sweet as I'm happy you're moving to a presumably bigger place, but I really love your apartment, I love the light and how compact it is. Anyway, "bon chance" and look forward to seeing the undoing of the packing!

i know noone asked but! here's how i pack: (i've moved a lot) 1.- Pick outfits for atleast 4 days, include +2 pairs of socks +4 underwear also a pair of pajamas and a shirt you dont care getting f up for when you start decorating maybe u wanna paint idk, thats your getting dirty shirt now. 2.- Pack away any hair product you wont need inmediately after the 1st week, same with skincare. 3.- Separate foods between: will get mold(ex. bread, fruit, veggies etc), will last more than a week (cans, rice, noodles etc) so you make sure u dont leave with a lot of food going bad. 4.- Use cardboard for in between bowls, newspaper for cups, glasses and plates (also you can stuff socks into the cups or way too fragile things) 5.- Write down into the box whats inside of it. 6.- Cry a lil bc you are packing way too much emotions. 7.- Have a trash can near you bc you'll maybe find things that you don't want to keep. Also trash, there's always junk hidding in between spaces. 8.- If you have to disasemble any furniture maybe take pics of how you did it so if you forget how it goes you have that as a guide... 9.- Get those vacuumable bags for your comforter and sheets. 10.- Any small thing and trinket that doesn't have a place or label goes into a doom box. you'll figure out later where it goes when you have your furniture all set out. 11. Bring snacks for the first days bc you won't be getting any cooking done. 12. Try to make your bed on the first day, you may think it doesn't make any difference but it does. That's it! hope it helps someone and also add your own tips! Also i'm sorry if something is not very well written, english is not my first languaje:p

Live, laugh, love to you too. I relate to the packing, and moving. I am also in it for the 60% haul... but I seem to get it all done, eventually. Lol. I had a moving specialist say to fill all the drawers, instead of packing them, and let the moving people, move it with a dolly. Smart. Waiting for part 2... great vid.

I moved from a townhouse to an apartment and I’m completely on the same page with you about how people just have so few things. I had two of the biggest boxes I’ve ever seen, 10 storage totes, 4 trash bags, and various random baskets just for my YARN. Don’t even get me started on my books, clothes, linens, and other hobbies

love saving plastic bags too! but I’m using them as project bags for my crochet/knit. ! It’s kinda useful when I wanna take knit with me and definitely saved them from spilled coffee😅

Use socks, clothing to wrap your glass. I've moved more times than I'd like to admit. Batting pieces work well, recycled bubble wrap Amazon envelopes too. Can't wait to see your new place!

So excited for your move, Jenna! As a twenty-something who has moved like 5 times since I was 10, I have some tips for you! (Also a little jelly; I'm still saving up to buy a house and move out of my parents' house) highly recommend vacuum-seal bags. great for packing clothes, yarn, pillows, anything soft and fluffy. and with clothes already on hangers, I just take garbage bags, put clothes in them still on their hangers, and tie the strings around the hooks on the hangers for an easy pack, easy unpack. and with packing glassware, you might want to pack way tighter. The paper can protect plates and stuff from scratching each other, but if you pack things up loosely where things can still jiggle around, they can quite easily break.

I'm from Vancouver too! The dollar store has vaccuum seal bags which are great for transporting bedding ❤

Packing tip! When packing glass items use towels or clothes to wrap them in. Two birds one stone plus it keeps them safer then paper.

I always pack linens in big black garbage bags. I also pack my clothes with tall kitchen bags. I take a about 10 hangers and use a rubber band at the top. Punch a hole in the bottom of the bag and run the top of the hangers through the hole and tie off at the bottom.

vacuum storage bags are amazing to pack clothes and bed sheets / comforters it make it so small

The 'i love moving content' and 'moving must be really hard for her' sides of my brain are fighting rn

When it come to last few days before movibg you only need 2 3 plates. A glass or to a pan and something to maybe frye the protin in. 2or 3 sets of cloths.and everything else can go into a box. Most importent is to make 1 or 2 boxes with first to unpack. Ligthbulbs and a lamp. 1 set of cloths and the kitchen stuff you used last few days. Maybe a knife to cut with. Toiletpaper. And mark boxes what room they belong to.

My packing tips: Pack anything hanging in a plastic bag (cut a hole in the bottom of the bag and put the hangers through it) Use suitcases & plastic garbage bags for the rest of clothes (usually easier to move than boxes) Use kitchen and bath towels to wrap fragile kitchen/bathroom things Use color coded tape for each room on the boxes for easy organization

When packing pack items with similar items. Jeans with jeans. Shirts with shirts etc. put most important close items in suitcase for your first week. If you can move hanger items together on hanger with trash bag cover saves time.
