Billie is very young, she turned 17 in December, and it shows in a lot of her older tracks despite her insane talent. She just announced her debut album is coming out soon and she has been constantly progressing so it is one of the projects I am most excited for in 2019. She just released a new track off the album called bury a friend. Highly recommend you check that out as well as some songs off the album when it drops. Thanks! :)

Yeah, I think she comes from quite a musical family. Her brother Finneas helps her write songs and I think writes songs for other people as well.

Celtic Barry Yup! I’ve seen some interviews with and/or about him. I’m excited to watch her grow and end up writing more of her own songs. Not that he isn’t talented himself, I just would love to hear more from her personally

Roma is a fairly new movie that was launched on the Netflix platform. It was a Golden globe and Oscar nominated film produced by a Mexican director. The film depicts racism and classism experienced by indigenous people in Mexico. The main character is a Oaxacan woman, first ever indigenous woman to be on the cover of a Mexican magazine is super important since these tend to focus on Euro centric beauty standards. Oh also that has nothing to do with the song. The little boy in the movie talks about when he was older as if he knew about a past life or something. I think that's what the song title referred to.

This song was truly inspired by ROMA, the movie doesn't have a soundtrack. They show the movie to a some musicians (Patti Smith, UNKLE, Dj Shadow, Beck, etc) and let them explore and create what they felt could go with the emotions the experienced while watching it. You need to watch the movie to get the references like "when i was older" "on an open sea" "I'm on my back again" etc

@@piketin1433 yeah I'm not a huge Wayne fan, but when he does his thing, you can really see the veracity of his "best rapper alive" claims. In the og 6'7" song, his voice might be annoying but the punchlines are impeccable. Just mind-blowing. Kendrick does flow better in my opinion. His flow and rhyming is crazy innovative - completely on different patterns and shit. Crazy lyrics. Q too, but he's a bit repetitive for me
