When bushes need to be removed and a hill sloped so it can be mowed, it's Tractor Time with Tim to the rescue! Tim uses the Deere 2038R / 2032R with 270B Backhoe to rip out the bushes, the grapple to haul them away and then he and Christy use the Ventrac with power rake to slope the drop off where a retaining wall use to be.

For those that give criticism about wrong tools being used I'll share some words my grandfather taught me 40+ years ago. "Sometimes the right tool is simply the one you have at hand, not the perfect tool 50 miles away." 🤠

I have a JD 5045e. I love my Tractor. The Loader is very strong. 3,600 # lift. I make my living with my Tractor and have been very blessed. We do clearing, make pads for builds, grade, install catch basins and various drain pipes. Retaing walls, waterfalls, sidewalks, pavers etc. I'm considering a Backhoe attachment in the near future. I'm living my dream. Every good gift comes from The Father above. I am grateful.

Your so right on how to learn..... Another way to learn before buying a tractor......offer to help a nieghbor........theres alot of older people that have a tractor yet cant do the manual labor .....often times will help teach you how to run thier tractor for helping them. Thats how i started... ..9yo in school raking lawns with a wheel barral then next thing im using thier tractor bucket as the wheel barrow and then bushhogging....

Who needs a road grader when you have a vinny 😉 You can help the grass grow by sprinkling fine cut straw over it, it helps stop river ruts forming in a downpour and insulates the surface against frost till the new grass takes hold. Looks like good soil so it should come back quick and may no be worth it.

Hi Christi &Tim, For grading the hill like you did, I don't think that is any other tool that could have done as nice a job as the Ventrac with the power rake. A 3 point box blade, while it might work, never would have been able to fine finish it. Looks awesome!

Good call on not bringing too much equipment. There’s hardly a job that a standard loader and backhoe can’t accomplish. Yeah, more toys can make the job easier, but a standard machine will get it done. For example, lay out a long ratchet strap and pile the brush on it, then run one end around that back side of the bucket and ratchet it tight...walla poor or cheap mans grapple. Ha

I have a pair of ISO tunes pros and really like them. You mentioned that the new ones have a different dec. rating. I think the only thing that I struggle with is the fact that they work to well. I find it extremely hard to hear anyone around me unless I remove a earbud. Also if I use them in my shop it’s hard to here the sound of a tool to tell how it’s laboring. With that said I would like more volume for my iPhone radio. I do love that I’ve used them for over eight hours at a time and never ran out of power. They’re also extremely comfortable. I’d Love to try out the new pair you just demonstrated to see how they work out. Keep the great videos coming and God Bless.

I would think that if your going to do maximum curling force on something that doesn't want to budge, I'd think you would want the tires on the ground, those stabilizers are really moving around and that seems like it will eventually damage the outriggers as they are not meant to see loads in that direction.

hey Tim, been watching the channel for some time now and I always wonder why You guys keep buying tractors and things like the ventrac. Why not just buy a tracked skid loader and and excavator. I feel like that's what most excavation guys are using and for good reason. thanks
@TractorTimewithTim
@TractorTimewithTim 4 года назад
Good question, Robert. There are many situations where a track loader would be a better fit. In our case, we are a 'tractor channel'. The tractor is great for protecting the customer's yard. It is less expensive than a track loader. It is multi-purpose. BTW, both the Ventrac AND the Deere 2038r are sponsored products.

I gained almost an acre just by pushing down and bulldozing weeds and brush out of an old Grapevine an apple orchard off a little bit of the Gaelic water and my 1025r! I'm not working for a custom I'm working for myself I'm trying to make a new dog run and like I said I gained almost an acre through Vines as thick as tree stumps could have been here for at least 50 years dogwood trees and sumac stumps coupled with bird berry bushes and hedge thorns

Tim, I would like to see you try the backhoe from Harbor Freight. I guess technically it's not a backhoe. I know you answer to a lot of things that I say, I know I'm saying a lot of things on this video. I would like to see a comparison between the backhoe on either the 1025r or the 2038 with the Harbor Freight backhoe. A lot of people have done a very very extensive review on it and said that they would almost solar tractor just to buy one if they didn't need the tractor!

These backhoes are strong but my Allmand 325TLB’s backhoe is stronger than a Kubota 25 hp mini excavator of course that’s a basic comparison based on experience for just that size. It’s just amazing how much power a 20hp Kohler engine driving a hydraulic pump can generate.

Did you try to use the grapple to rip out those bushes? I have found that coming under the roots with the root rake and pushing forward while cycling the curl does a fantastic job of pulling the bushes out by the roots while rolling and compacting at the same time.

As well as the 4 & 5 series . The newer Massey Ferguson’s are nice and well priced. To tell you the truth I used my big Waterloo made 4020 for everything.
