🚨Heads up! Two facts I need to clarify: 3:25 Number 1 Achievementhunter - The Number 1 Achievement hunter isn't Stallion83 *anymore*. I misphrased it as he's currently #47! The current #1 is RedmptionDenied with 4+ million Gamerscore. 7:06 R6S Trophylist Change - The reason for this trophylist change was to 'reduce the amount of grinding players have to do'. It was mostly singleplayer Situation missions and terrorist hunt achievements that had been changed over to multiplayer ones. In total 33 trophies/achievements had been updated!
The one thing that always fascinated me about crypt of the necrodancer is that if someone played flawlessly they could get the platinum in under 20 hours. It's just so difficult that most people need hundreds if not over a thousand hours of practice to platinum it
I’ve got 8 platinums this year, first year hunting. Working on RDR2 right now. I wish there was better controls to be able to stop the games that give 5 minute platinums. It’s just the opposite of the whole point.
I love the satisfaction of hitting a specific milestone. On Xbox I'm currently working towards 800,000 gamerscore. On PlayStation I've been taking a break because I was playing shovelware and got tired of those types of games. I need to spend more time on Steam because I barely have any games and only one 100% completion.
The only change I still dislike about the Trophies is the new level system. Everyone being in the hundreds is just boring, and I still haven’t adjusted to the new scale to understand what is really a high level or not. I remember anything above 12 was the beginning of high levels.
I don't know if Siege having its trophies reworked is strictly unique, but I've certainly not seen anything like it happen before or after. Compared to some other trophy grinds I really don't think the original list was that bad, but even in early 2016, when the game hadn't fully cemented its position as a successful long-term multiplayer game, everyone I played with at the time wanted to play the actual game rather than sit through terrorist hunt for hours. I think the original list, with more emphasis on the modes that could be played solo, made sense at a time when the game's future was uncertain, but after a certain point it became clear that Siege's original trophies were at odds with the reality of actually playing it. It's also worth noting that there were a couple of map-specific trophies in the old list, which is dangerous territory in a game where maps are regularly reworked. The original versions of House and Hereford Base (which both had a trophy) don't even exist now, for example. It would be a headache to not be able to remove a map because in 2015 you decided there should be an achievement tied to it.
I still think it would be dope if Sony sent you a tangible cheap miniature replica of a platinum trophy everytime you got a platinum on actual real games.
All achievements in Steam can be hacked using the Steam Achievement Manager. And Valve does not punish for it in any way. Therefore, achievements in steam are garbage
Xbox should really organize the achievement system, make it like PlayStation where DLC has a whole different section for achievements and a form of platinum for Xbox achievements. For example, Instead of getting a Rare Achievement you get a Pink Diamond for completing all achievements for that game, I think that’ll be really cool for Xbox and Trophy/Achievement Hunters. In my opinion as a Xbox fan I have both Xbox Series X and PS5 and I can truthfully say It doesn’t feel rewarding getting achievements for the simple fact nobody really sees what games you’ve fully completed just shows gamerscore..
A gold gamerscore icon shows up next to your profile with a number indicating how many games you've gotten 100% of. Basically like the platinum trophy but you'd still keep your thousands of gamerscore.
Xbox does show the games you've completed unless your privacy settings are set so that others cannot view your game history. I can go onto someone else's profile who doesn't have that set to private and it will show me whether they've completed each game, showing x/y gamer score and achievements. I actually prefer Xbox's achievement system because generally speaking, you get a better sense of which achievements are either more difficult or more significant to the story because of the varying amount of points, whereas PlayStation trophies are just bronze, silver, or gold in terms of denoting difficulty or significance of the individual trophy (platinum just being for completing all other trophies does not in itself indicate the game's overall difficulty).
@@octolockg5059 The only such number I've ever seen on my profile, as far as I can discern, indicates how long you had an unbroken streak of Xbox Live Gold membership (now Game Pass Core). If it was what you say it is, mine would be much higher as I've completed 59 base games, and most of the ones with DLC I've completed that as well.
The world record for most platinums was actually set 3 months before this video was posted. Pelzio/Pelziowo earned 1007 platinums in 24 hours and streamed the entire process. Before that I believe Ikemenzi held the record with 424 platinums in a single day set in 2022.
something cool you didnt mention: NieR automata has a trophy shop which lets you buy trophies with in game currency. To my knowledge it's the only game to do this.
Oh wow! I didn't know about getting an email when platinuming God of War, that's insane. Cause I recently played God of War 3 and 2018, and I checked my email to see if this was actually true. To my surprise, I did get an email from them congratulating me for beating God of War 3 and platinuming God of War 2018. So, that one fact really did wow me, and was cool to learn so thanks!
I will add a big note for everyone PSN Trophy doesn't show games from other PSN games for simple example I have a USA ACCOUNT but my main is SA ACCOUNT so if I bought a game or got a platinum it Will not show only the games form your region
Android has even had real trophies for years. Only in the play game app with pop up and co. It's very similar to xbox only you get XP for higher level instead of a total amount that gets higher.
The PS system is flawed for sure. I’m level 347 with 52 platinums and I’m a lower level than someone with 14. Players that play a lot of games and get many easy trophies look better than players that take time and complete games fully before moving on to the next.
I have more reasons to make a 100% achievement guide as a long-time Steam user as I 100% them too but this roadmap formatting proves useful with checklist being for online multiplayer it is fun but takes a huge amount of research so thanks to all people who contributed both on PC and Console.
Achievement Hunting on Steam is Sadly sometimes devaluable bc of SAM thats why Trophy's or Achievements on XBOX are better bc people can’t cheat them but quitting PC just for Achievements is also worthless
OG PS trophy hunters remember Carlohas (CMH777) and Kingsuper 1 as the first trophy content creators. Carlos was a great content creator but randomly decided to delete all videos and disappear from the internet😢
I wouldnt put Achievment Unlocked in the same category as those other Achievment spam shovelware games imo, it was a small parody game where all of the achiements were only in-game and not actually tied to any account or system
W video bro 🙌 i used to play only competitive games until i got my first platinum on god of war ragnarok ever since I’m very addicted now I’m on my 30th platinum RDR2
I hate it when there is no guide on the trophy website for a game tho i must say! I managed to do clone drone in the danger zone 2 weeks ago but there was no guide! I'd love to know how to make a guide on there. I'd love to help other ppl get plat on it. As it is easily one of the harder trophies to get! However. As usual. Great video!
@@SANDREZZ We can bounce tacos and stroke horses all day long. I'd say 150 platinum in a day isn't out of the question. But anyone who can hold R1 and push X can get 100 platinum in a day. A 10 year old could do it.
1:10 I believe you mean half-life 2? Or maybe you meant half-life 2 episode 2, but half life 2 is a different game which was released before and also had achievements. Great video though
Talking about trophy challenge like the A to Z plats I actually made my own it is 10 plats in six months but I have to do it like 1/10, 2/10 all the way up to 10/10 the games I have so gets is 1/10 dount conty 2/10 ape escape 3/10 second son infamous 4/10 jak and daxter or Detroit become human 9/10 is crash 4 10/10 is super meat boy Do you have any games for 5/10,6/10,7/10 and 8/10 gonna do the challenge after hollow knight platinum just need pantheons
demon's souls, elden ring and Bloodborne are all 7/10 devil may cry 5 and it's special edition are 8/10 (even though the normal edition on PS4 has easier trophies)
It's ridiculous in the US that you have to pay taxes on winnings like that. It makes uou wonder ehy people even bother to enter into competitions and game shows over there. I understand taxing big cash prizes (though that still is ridiculous). But winning a Game Pass, or even a car or microwave or whatever it seems very harsh to make them pay taxes on those. If I somehow ever win the lottery I'm glad I live in the UK where it's tax free (not that I'll ever win).
Is that true about playstation congratulating you on getting the platinum for ratchet and clank, Spiderman's and GOW? I've platinumed all three but never got an email 😞
Here's a pointless fact you might already know about: did you know some games PS3 don't have trophies. 2 good examples are Spider-Man: Web of Shadows and Lego Batman: The Videogame. It's either the dev teams of both games had time to include the achievements on Xbox and not the PS3 or trophies didn't exist at the time they were released. Since both games came out in 2008 it's likely that Super Stardust HD came out after they did. And if you go onto any trophy hunting website Spider-Man Web of Shadows and Lego Batman don't show up
I would actually like that the platinums you unlock give you something like free game, digital money or even some DLCs of the games you platinum'd .... bcz without that there no interest of trophy hunting. You're just forcing yourselves to play a game and you won't gonna be rewarded.
@@SantosOverlord Video games ain't dumb. Trophy hunting is. You're not even playing the game at this point, you're just chasing a digital achievement that won't give you anything. These guys just have no life.
