We've been talking about getting a dog for the longest time but put it on hold due to our travels.
I decided now is the perfect time for a puppy and the BEST gift to give Dalena for her 5 year anniversary (or would that be a ring? haha)

He is absolutely adorable. Dalena's reaction is too pure. I love that you called him chicken. It made me laugh as I recently told Dalena about my daughter, Nikita. What I didn't tell you, is that I call her 'Chicken Tikka' and shorten it to 'Chicken' 😂😀

Ngl I cried when Dalena cried. I bothered my dad for 4 years that I wanted a dog when we moved to the states, I was feeling lonely from leaving everything behind. Then one day he comes in with a ball of fluff and I just stood still I couldn't believe my eyes. What an adorable addition to your lovely family! Looking forward to seeing more of Chicken!

Dude istg When i Got my dog i was balling my eyes out. So my parentes are divorced and i was at Ikea with my mom. Then we drive to my dads House and i was confused Why we did that. When they opened the door up, a 3 and a halv year Old collie stood there. I thought the dog was just there cuz the owners where busy. Then it turned out that he bought a dog who’s owner had passed away and he came into alot of new Homes but neither of Them had the time or room for him. Now he is a very happy son 5 years Old doggo and i love him very much. So When she begav to cry i was like “ this is relatable.. 🥺”

Make sure to give jack lots ofattention too so he doesn't feel left out. You can give jack and chicken some treats when they are together and play nice so the both can have positive experience. Telling jack he is a good boy too when he plays with chicken gentle x

Cavoodle's are the BEST dogs. I had mine for 12 years before he passed in March this year. Lifelong friends. You'll be very happy with him.

I am really glad you mentioned how much responsibility it is, a lot of people want a cute puppy but as soon as it's not a puppy and is a young pup all the growing pains and behaviors are more than what most signed up for and the puppy suffers and it's not their fault so I am glad to hear you mention that. I understand that feeling. That's how my wife and I felt when we got our dog, Yuki. It has been 6 years and Yuki has been a big part of our life... Chicken will be a very good boy and will bring a lot of joy to both of you

I really like that you've seem to have done a ton of research despite already having a dog. You can never be informed enough. Also it makes for the best possible integration of a new dog. he is so smart! he learned his name and sit fast! my dog was like that too. My dog learns fast when we teach him especially potty training. Although when we tell my dog chicken he thinks it is his favorite treat lol My dog is a mini golden retriever (a golden retriver and mini poodle mix). We named him Charlie, after Charlie Brown from the Peanuts lol seeing your new puppy now I want a cavoodle lol

My dad got a Cavoodle back in March. They're wonderful dogs, friendly and sweet, but they have separation anxiety out the whazoo so don't do well if mum and dad are coming and going often! Perfect companion dogs, though.
